Great video and an awesome looking light. I'm not sure it's an Aputure MC killer, but it does look nice. I like that you can USB charge it and use it!

Thank you! I think the Cinepeer CM25 and Aputure MC can co-exist because they serve different purposes. The MC has 5x less Watts, but it is an RGBWW light. And I agree, it is great that the CM25 can be charged and used at the same time.

Is the M40 a lot brighter than this CM25? I have an M40, but I’m wondering if the 25W is supposed to be a sweet spot (for example is it 75% the brightness of the M40 or is the M40 way brighter?)

The M40 is noticeably brighter. Pluss running it with a lower light output will give you more run time compared with CM25 on full power.

Fan noise ruins it … louder at partial power than an fs300 at full

I haven't used the FS300, but I can't imagine the difference being so dramatic. One thing I didn't address in the video thought, that might help others as well. I noticed that the fan becomes louder when using the light on full while charging it. And that is because in that moment the light produces more heat that needs to be cooled.
