Like in interstellar, the endurance is a physical model but all the backgrounds (of space) are CGI that is then played back on big monitors (like a predecessor to the technology that they used in the mandalorian). Or the bat (I think its called the bat) in tdkr, where they shoot some stuff with that thing on a car or crane and cut between those shots full CG shots, to integrate it more in reality

The Lord of the Rings was effectively planned and then filmed as one giant movie, and then edited in post production into three movies. This makes the trilogy as a whole feel remarkably consistent, with its story about good battling evil in Middle Earth being a gargantuan, exciting and tremendously moving one. If viewed as one huge film split into three parts, then the Lord of the Rings is up there with arguably the greatest movies of all time, regardless of genre.

Gladiator is a great piece of historical fiction with a protagonist who actually fights injustice with clenched fists and sharp blades.
