It's Mr. Adorable himself sauntering across the lawn, what a wonderful sight to see! There was always a little excitement about Friday because it meant the weekend was coming. Then I worked retail. Ruined my Saturdays which had been filled with morning chores and excursions, followed by Creature Double Feature and Kung Fu Theater. Now I can enjoy weekends, but those programs are long gone.

Cinnabon was so good at the vets - he was really docile when the vet actually got to him. He went nuts en route and in the waiting room but he was such a sweetheart with the female vet. He has a small thing for nice ladies ;)

Lex, don't do dish soap, that will be a mess. Use a 1/2 cup of vinegar w/ your detergent. Here's a cpl tips for next time Cinnabon goes for his annual. Get the comfort zone spray from Amazon, & spray your car, ( I do vents too 😉) about 30 mins before you leave. Also some calming treats would be helpful too. Id give them to him about an hr before you go. 😊 No by, by. Cinnabon says, "talk to the tail." 😄. LOL, there it is! 💙

Your videos give me such joy, Lex. The bond you 2 have is so beautiful and fun to watch. I know everyone gives you their 2 cents, so forgive me for giving you mine. See if there's a feline-only vet in your area. Even if it's a longer drive, it's worth it. Think of it as being similar to seeing a doctor who's a specialist vs a general practitioner. Sadly, most vets treat cats like small dogs. There are several things a feline vet knows that will be invaluable, such as meds to give prior to vet visits to keep them mellow and make the exams go more smoothly. (Example: my 2 cats that freaked out during travel and the exam were prescribed varying combinations of Buprenex, Cerenia and/or gabapentin per the cat's individual needs/medical conditions for administration about 2 hours before the visit. The drive and exam became a breeze compared to before. I *guarantee* you that 99% of standard vets wouldn't know or think to do that. Feline vets do.) And the best advice regarding *ANY* vet is this: If they don't allow you to stay with your pet during the exam, do NOT see that vet! (too stressful for your pet and you; it also limits your knowledge and understanding) Also, ask if they're willing to give you a tour of their facilities, pre-scheduled if needed. Your vet should be as open with you and your pet as a medical doctor should be with their patients. This advice is for all my animal-loving friends! Happy Independence Day to my fellow Americans, and a great weekend to the rest of the world!

I agree. Lex saying that going to the vet was horrible, and them not letting him stay in the room with Cinnabon were red flags for me, too ☹️ And the vet tech sounds like she’s afraid of cats! 😒

So happy to see Lex and Cinnabon to brighten up my day!!!! Got some crappy news yesterday and this video makes it all better. I had my kitty to the vet last week. What they do here is come out to the car and get my Sugarbear and he was just fine about the exam. I have been going there for a long time and even though a vet visit is stressful for him, they are wonderful with him. I was worried too about leaving him alone,but no worries!

Yes, but it may take several washings and long soaks. Moth balls smell is really hard to get out. Some fibers are more stubborn and cling to the smell than others, too.

Dish soap in washer is a very bad idea. It just keeps making more bubbles! Vinegar or lemon juice or even odo ban in the wash will take out the moth ball scent. OdoBan eucalyptus smell can be found at Walmart. You can also get it from home depot in many other scents like watermelon and lavender!

I love that you have a ton of toys on every level for him! 🤣😂 I have a toy box, and my cat will actually go and take what she wants. Her favorite toy is a fishing rod with a bunch of feathers at the end. I replaced the string with heavy fishing line and it flies through the air like a bird. She goes crazy! She also loves these cheap, plain fabric mice from Wal-Mart, her pink stuffed bear and a larger mouse with Velcro the I stuff catnip in. The stuff at the pet store is expensive and usually stale, so I grow my own.

I had a big mostly Maine Coon that was feral but I tried to tame for 13 years and we had a pretty good relationship. But he HATED going to the vet, his file was marked as AWC APPROACH WITH CAUTION in capital letters in red ink with !!! , and the vet techs used long sleeve welder gloves

I keeping begging Alex to have Bon Bon chipped. In worried if something happens to Bon Bon, a vet will not provide medical thinking he is feral with the clipped ear & no chip. At least with a chip, if he were injured or kidnapped, someone could scan him & find Alex's name & phone number. I worry about him.

Have you thought about making Cinnabon an inside cat only- and let him out only when you're home? It's the only way to keep a cat safe my friend. I learned my lesson the hard way. I had a rule no inside cats for years. Until I got tired of waking up to my kitty missing or dead in the street. Just ask Jackson Galaxy. He'll tell you you the same thing. If you have 2 cats it's easier to have them inside. They entertain each other and aren't lonely. I have 3 inside cats and yes I feel like a jerk sometimes not being able to let them out. But they are safe.

I agree to have a pet cat be indoor/outdoor, but.outdoor only when you're home. Then if something goes wrong, you can be around to see or hear it (could be injury from other cats, wild animals, humans, stuck somewhere, etc.). Keep in mind that if the cat was rescued and used to life outside, they may get more joy from having some outdoor time (while you're home). I had a cat friend, rescued from a field at about 5 months old, and as an indoor/outdoor kitty she lived to be 21!

Most cats seem to hate the vet, including my cat Abby. But she is pretty well behaved, and the folks at the vet often comment about what a good girl she is. She never bites nor scratches me nor anyone else. And the only time I remember her actually "complaining" (MEOW!) was when one of the technicians brought her back from getting a urine sample (needle in the belly to the bladder), and into the exam room where I was waiting, and the tech was carrying her like a sack of potatoes, arm to her side and wrapped around Abby's stomach, with all 4 legs dangling. Abby did not like that at all and cried out as the tech was putting her down on the exam table, so I said something about it. You'd think they'd know better.

Speaking from experience: if you add Dawn to your washer, be VERY careful how much you add. Since it’s so concentrated, it REALLY foams up. Source: ex-boyfriend did it once. We were cleaning soap off his basement floor for HOURS. 🤣

HI Lex, I was nervous about my cats going to the vet by themselves without me. A friend of mine works at the vet clinic and told me most of the pets have been doing better without their owners. I was skeptical, but it actually worked for my boys. I think they must feed off of my anxiety when I am with them. I might not come in with them in the future for this reason. If you absolutely must take him during these times it might not be so bad. Go figure right? Cats can be so weird.

Lex, have you seen Cinnabon go to the streets there near your home where there are cars passing by ? I hope not. I dont want him to be in any accidents just like what happened to that cat BOB, the cat in THE STREET CAT NAMED BOB. Bob died a few weeks ago in London, he was run over by a car when he got out of his owners home. I dont want anything like that to happen to Cinnabon. Do not allow him to roam in the streets with cars on them. Thanks !

I remember a rabbit standing around in the yard and staring at you two. I just finished listening to Martin Tyner talk about a super contagious and deadly rabbit virus. He empathised that sick animals often act docile and don't run so be careful out there.

If those are lilies, he only needs to accidentally get a little pollen on his coat, maybe from accidentally touching them when chasing a bug, and for him to lick it off, for him to be very sick or die. It just isn't worth having lilies if you have a cat.

There are lilies and cats all over the neighborhood. He doesn't go near them, hasn't in the over 3 years he's been around. I think cats are smarter than many of us think. I do appreciate yours, and similar concerns.

If you want to remove odor from something, leave it in the sun for a day or so. Usually works.
