cats are very sensitive when they have accidents and are concerned about getting punished. I had a old orange cat who had some tickle in his bottom and went scooting across the carpet . Leaving a trail. He then ran under the dining room table and kept staring at me, waiting for me to yell. I just cleaned up the mess and went back to reading my paper. It took him about half an hour to realize there were no repercussions. Sometimes things happen .

Yeah get some hair ball treats or cat food that has hairball control, like Purina naturals it's a blue bag at your store. It's worth the health

Hairbal paste administered every few days is extremely helpful in helping cats to eliminate hairballs. Brushing him a few times a week helps also especially after Winter when cats shed their extra fur. Many cats will lick hairball paste right out of the tube or you can smear an inch of it on both front paws and they lick it off. Pet Smart has hairball soft chew treats that have lots of mineral oil. A must do in routine care of any cat with longer hair. You don't want him to get blocked. Overnight vet bills are expensive.

@@earthangel8730 Yes ! A very good advice ! But, mineral oil is not good as it's petroleum product & stays in the system so that accumulates in the system ! Be careful with those pastes w/ mineral oil & preservative like phenoxyethanol, sodium BENZOATE as both are accumulatively toxic to cats ( & human ) & phenoxyethanol destroys kidneys ! ( ours ,too ! ) Even many cat wipes have them in their ingredients ! Also soft chews can get stuck in cats's throats if the cat is experiencing dehydration, or an old cat ! It happened to my old cats & both choked on them !

When I was taking care of a small feral colony, an opossum would sometimes hang out with the cats to get fed. They were all super chill. He’d just come waddling over the fence and tuck into the kibble with them.

Yes, that possum face was rather precious. We keep a bird feeder and squirrel feeder tray filled for our neighborhood critter visitors. Along with assorted birds, usually the same 4 squirrels that have come around for several years show up almost daily - they each have their own personality and markings and even respond to their names :-) But this fall, 2 possums have started coming late at night to eat from squirrel feeder. One seems to be older and was skinny and kind of mangy at first but has filled out and its coat improved. The younger looking one stands on its hind legs, grabs the edge of the squirrel feeder tray with its front paws and tips it downward to reach the feed and pour some out onto the ground. They are so adorable to watch, but our cats take little notice of the possums. (Squirrels, birds, bugs, blowing leaves, dogs, other cats or other animals have our furbabies transfixed, but possums? Meh) It's corny, but we've dubbed our nocturnal marsupial visitors Awesome & Blossom McPossum - like cute characters in a sweet children's story.

In no way am I telling you what to do. But, if Cinnabon still eats hot meals on wheels outside he could have round worms. I suggest it only because you mentioned a bad odor. An inexpensive pill from the vet is what I always did. I completely respect you and your care and understanding of Cinnabon. My special girl will make a particular cry just before she presents me with a hairball. She tries to hit the kitchen tiles for me...lol Best to both of you.

Thank you for being so understanding with Cinnabon. Not all owners are. It is natural for them to expell hairballs and such that way. I believe they do understand and know that's not acceptable. You can tell by the way they look at you. And of course Bon bon always gets the last"word/meow" in at the end of the video! Feel better little buddy!

I had a juvenile one (about half adult size) in the house a few months ago. I noticed the dry cat food was disappearing way too fast,then caught a glimpse of him heading back to his hiding place,which I haven't found. When it's not bug season I will leave the back door open while I'm in the kitchen,I'm sure he wandered in then. Once he even came in my room,peeking out from behind a dresser while I was on the computer. Used a humane trap and let him loose in the back yard. Cute little bugger.

Puking is normal, but it would be in one spot and the cat feels fine afterwards. I agree he must've eaten something bad. Also, definitely be sure to get him de-wormed (my vet recommended every 3 months for my outdoor cat).

Yes, it's very important for outdoor cats to be wormed every three months, because they eat vermin that carry worms and get infected over and over that way.

No, puking is NOT normal in cats. It can be the sign of something more serious and always requires monitoring and/or a trip to the vet if you can afford to do so. www.vetspecialty.com/vomiting-is-not-normal-in-cats/

ML R if your cat vomits once every now and then than that’s normal cause it’s usually a hairball. Which is what the original comment is talking about. If it does it continuously, then that’s a sign of something more serious. Which is why the original comment said check for worms. Context clues dude. I recommend healthy grass for the cat, works wonders for mine and she enjoys biting it.

Possums are so cute! My sister lives in Burbank, CA and feeds an opossum and skunk that come to visit. She's named them Bacon (possum) and Eggs (skunk). Occasionally, I find a possum asleep in my garage.

My cat threw up a few times one day and we knew something wasn’t right. We took her right to the vet who discovered she had an intestinal blockage from eating her favorite people food snack - white cheddar popcorn. They gave her an enema and she was fine. Thank goodness. We were careful to seal up the popcorn bags after that.

My wild possums and cats eat together and sleep together. Incredibly adorable. Poor possums have an unjust bad rep. They really are sweet and adorable. They don’t bite, they will of course faint or play dead lol. I’ve rescued a lot of possums in my life time. Glad Cin is feeling better. Hope he has a long happy life with you.❤️

I've always heard cats eat grass for upset stomachs. I don't know if that's true or not. Had one female cat who ate it as a snack. She also ate grasshoppers. Cats seem to know how to take care of tummy issues. Cats are really remarkable.

i heard that male cats r significantly more territorial (against other males?) and more likely to spray urine than female cats. also the black cat that tried to enter cinnabon's outdoor house suddenly ran into cinnabon's view, so that hiss was probably response to being startled and instant defensiveness (due to the prior cat fight in the dark?) pretty sure cinnabon can differentiate between different animal types and has encountered possums before (before lex)
