Don't forget to add that 14th cup of Brown Sugar, it's literally thee KEY to making the best Candied Cashews/Pecans!!!.. Also Vanilla Extract and Salt!! They are the key helpers but mainly that brown sugar added to the white sugar!! It'll taste just like the time you went to the State Fair or the Gun Show and it's all hot and freshly made and mmm tasting so good!! I'm tellin ya you'll thank me later!! And also don't forget to froth/eisk up that egg white THEN add the nuts, mix it up real good and coated fully and then take the next steps!!... Enjoy y'all!!

@@JulieRobinson6969 Hello, what would happen if I replaced the light brown sugar with the dark variety? Thank you.
@JulieRobinson6969 Жыл бұрын
@@gregoryroberts4012 Hi Gregory, I haven't tried making them with the dark brown sugar so I can't tell you how they will turn out but I don't see why it would change the outcome.If you do try the dark sugar please let me know how they turn out and again thank you for watching this video.

Why don't you add everything at once and stir only once? Seems more efficient than stirring, adding ingredients, stir some more, etc.

It's me again. I happen to buy in bulk and this year it was cashews. But they are raw. I usually roast them in a castiron pan during the time my gallon of milk for homemade yogurt is heating up to 180 degrees. My question is: do I have to roast them for this treat?
@JulieRobinson69693 жыл бұрын
Jerome, I didn't roast mine ahead of making these but I don't think it will hurt to roast them it might make them even better.

For the recipe do you need brown sugar or can you just use regular sugar for both?
@JulieRobinson69693 жыл бұрын
Joe, I'm not sure about that I have always used the brown sugar but you can try it and see how it turnes out. Thank you for watching.

Looks great, but don’t like cinnamon. I make something similar with pecans, but I cook it in a pan on the stove top.
