Morning! I’m more of a knitter but do crochet. I knit a sweater with this and it did work up beautiful. Nice stitch definition, drape, and does soften up. That being said though, I like wool.

You found the new colors of Re-Spun! I've been looking for those. I have all the original colors except the brown tones. I want to make something using almost all the colors. I did knit up a tote bag in the Raisin color. It turned out so nice! FYI, if you don't plan to use what you got, I'd gladly buy them from you and pay shipping.

Aw. Sorry the Re-Spun isn't your cup of tea. I have gotten it (in a different color), and I thought it was surprusingly soft & squishy. Thats what makes the world go 'round, though, different people with different experiences! Have a great weekend, Jen!

I actually like this yarn. Was going to make a cardi-shawl for myself with it, but now it’s going to be for a friend’s birthday. I will have to grab more to make one for myself. In Canada, they’re $10.99 for the Bonus Bundle. I bought the colour Hazelwood. ❤

I love this yarn. I have worked with it in several colors and not only does it work up well, it does wash well. My son has an afghan he took to college in this yarn and gets softer with every wash.

I agree with the lack of softness. I made a sweater for my husband and it did soften a little after washing but wasn't very pleasant to work with

Happy Friday miss Jennifer...I had the same response to the response.. and I don't have sensitive skin...the retweed on the other hand still not soft and squish to work with but did soften up in the wash...I made a pullover for our neighbors daughter and it came out beautifully 💗

Awww I am sorry Jennifer, you were so excited about the color!. It would probably make a beautiful rug. I was thinking of people that live in cold climates, it would make a beautiful cape for Winter. I think I might give it a try as I am allergic to wool but I would like to make something sturdy. That is a thin #4 too, maybe the thicker one would be better. The reason I like polyester is the color doesn’t fade or wash out, even in a swimming pool.

Enjoy your reviews. It’s like sitting down with you at the kitchen table with a cup of tea or coffee and talking about all kinds of yarns. It’s a nice little visit. Have you considered wearing cotton gloves to help with your skin sensitivity issues? Wonder if that would help.

GRS - Global Recycled Standards The colors look pretty. I like your yarn reviews, just the way they are. If someone creates an item with this yarn and laundered it. Then, give a review of how it washed, feels, and other comments. I wonder how this yarn works up knitted. The feel of the yarn is the most important thing.

I have had the exact same experience with this yarn. I picked up 2 forest green and 2 navy blue when I first started crocheting because they were on sale and I loved the colors. I've hated working with it. I'm super bummed because it should be nice but it splits and is really scratchy on my hands. I don't have eczema but I have dry hands and it just isn't good for me. Thanks for your video!

i solved splittyness with different hook shape and using at least a 6.5 mm hook. I love my big cardigan I made using this in the Denim dark blue.

I gave this yarn like a 6/10. I don’t hate it but it’s for sure on my less likely to use list. The thicker 5 weight one makes a good blanket but washing is a pain.

@@CinnamonStitches Yeah! It's a no go for me too. But traditionally it's used for Celtic cables and very warm winter wear. Anything with chunky bold designs. I've seen beautiful wall hangings made with Celtic cables. Maybe you could use it for that. Machine knitting flat panels and then on the purl side create pretty motif on top with crochet/embroidery using softer yarn. Will let the jewel tones shine! Thanks for a great review!

Wow… Why didnt you USE THE RECOMMENDED hook size? 6.5 mm hook. It Changes Everything I Love This Fiber and Yarn - but a smaller hook size makes it weird. But - actually the properties of the yarn and the crochet work Change Drastically with 2 things: 6.5 mm or bigger hook And washing plumps up the yarn and softens it Even unwashed, This yarn is also springy with nice sqoosh on 6.5 hook I made a very large cardigan on a dc stitch and it us delightful, sqooshy, and luxurious. This polyester fiber behaves differently than every other yarn I used. It is crazy strong and yet light to wear. I also made a comfy scarf. Please reconsider Re-Testing this yarn with the recommended hook. Alot of people care what you say. i Luv your videos!

It irritates my skin too much to retest. Hook size and washing it after its done will not fix my hands. But thanks for posting your opinion, it might help someone else
