They can do it back to back for sure, you just have to find the timing in between the animations to throw it. Sometimes you have to throw the ball right before the 1st animation finishes in order to get it on time for the 2nd one.

You're doing it wrong then, these animations have a cooldown. You need to hit your ball in that timeframe.

It is all about the timing. If you time it that the circle shows up right before your ball hits it is pretty much impossible for them to do another attack. Sometimes I time it that the ball hits before you even see the circle.

If you are not hitting pretty much Every excellent throw then use Great. For example if you have 13 balls and you can only hit 5 excellent out of those 13 then that is 8 balls you are getting no bonus. Statistically you are better off if you can hit every single great on 13 balls.

Always done this and have an extremely high catch rate. Am so confident now I use normal pineapples down to the last 5 balls. It takes patience but the rewards for me are worth it. When we had Landorus I did 277 raids and caught 270. The ones that got away were because of sticky ball glitch, raid errors or rain :) This is the best advice for catching raid bosses or if going for the 999 excellent throws needed to get to lvl 50 :)

It happens, iv had like 9-10 excellent throws in a row. Usually golden razz+excellent throws and great throws as much as possible is your best chance. Even if it takes it down to the last ball which it has for me before. But more then not if you do that you’ll catch them.

Another great way is having a buddy pokémon with at least two hearts. That way, they knock the pokéballs back to them. There's supposed to be a "chance" that it happens, but so far, my buddy did it reliably every single time.

Just catch heaps of pokemon and you'll eventually get a rough gage of the distance/angles needed to throw for most legendaries. I still find it hard to catch the ones that strafe side to side tho. Near impossible for me to hit those circles. Glhf 👌

Hold ur left thumb on the berry icon and move it slightly to the righy then while holding it like that throw the ball the release berry and hit run 9 times out of 10 it will be caught. Quick catching is the best way to do it

I don’t understand this. The circle lock doesn’t work. Every time you touch the poke ball the circle moves. So even if you set it up, once you touch the poke ball again the circle starts moving again.

I do this and I always wait until they throw their biggest “fit” for knocking the balls away. The “fit” consists of two or more animations back to back; if you listen with sound on, it’s easier to detect. Each Legendary and Mythical are different. Another trainer pointed this out to me after taking a break from PoGo for a year. Since then, my catch rate has gone up substantially! The key thing is to have patience and let them jump up & down all they want. I can sometimes take 10 minutes to catch one, but I generally catch it. I've tried this and the circle would shrink even during the animation. That being said, in an encounter screen the game tends to run at 15-30 fps for me, which makes trying to catch quite difficult. It didn't used to do it, it's only relatively recently.
