The video is not quite a help for me because I am a cellist. However I am so interrested in that mighty double bass that's why I came to watch this regardless. I always love how deep the bass can sound. Keep the good work coming, sir. Thanks for sharing 😀

I signed in so I could give this a thumbs up. As an amateur bass guitar player I know only the order of letters in the circle, so this is an excellent resource not only for muscle memory but for helping develop my relative pitch as well. I'll certainly check out other videos by you! Very nicely presented; thank you. :)

Which bass and bow would you recommend for a beginner? I played for a couple years many years ago and would like to play again. Thanks.

It really depends on what local bass shops there are near you. Good starter instrument brand options include Eastman and Shen, but I would recommend searching for a used bass that’s been well set up as that makes a huge impact on playability. Also, a good set of stings. Local bass teachers might be able to help identify any basses for sale near you. Also, consider renting whilst you look for a good bass. It’s a shame excellent starter instruments are less available than on other instruments like the bass guitar, but there will be ones near to you that I hope you find. Good luck 👍
