All I know is Andy LaPlegua lived across the street in 2003ish. He was doing Icon of Coil at the time. We were hanging in my studio and I played him Brainchild - Mindwarp, he said he had never heard anything like it. The next thing I heard from him was Combichrist. Atl scene.

@@srktv5457 I can only think of Fear Factory really, and even they weren't that industrial. Front Line Assembly is probably the closest in sound I can think of, but they only experimented with guitars here and there.

this sounds okay, but I think it needs to be remixed/remastered for 2021. it's too flat and amateurish-sounding in its present form to be released as anything official to charge people money for. pretty solid demo, but not nearly good enough to compete with mainstream releases. and why's it so quiet compared to most other music coming out these days? I had to crank the volume way up to hear anything at all. Klayton's mastering skills obviously can't compete with those of most professional mixing/mastering engineers out there. methinks he should look into hiring someone of Ben Gross's or Brendan O'Brien's caliber to mix and master his music, because this low-fi mono-esque wind-in-the-willows whisper of a song just isn't cutting it in my book.
