Another way to calculate angle BCF in the second worked example is toagain observe ACD is 35 deg (isoceles triangle) and ACB is 90 deg (since AB is a diameter), so angle BCD is 125. This means that BAD is 55 deg (cycilc quadrilateral) so BAD is 20 deg (55 deg - 35 deg) as is BCF.

Example 2: It's much easier: ACD = 35°; because the legs of the triangle are the same lenght ACB = 90°; same reason (Diameter) DCE = 35° (Last theorem) FCB = 180° - 35° - 35° - 90° = 20°

There's this really ez way to answer the last question, I'm not sure if it will get you full marks though? you create an imaginary tangent that touches the circle at point B, then the radius (QB) makes a 90 deg angle with the tangent (theorem) and angle ACB = the angle made between the chord AB and the tangent (alternate segment theorem) = 40 deg angle ABO + 40 deg = 90 (cuz the radius makes a 90 deg angle with the tangent) angle ABO = 50 deg

I dont find any constellation of lines and angels to show that the opposite angle inside the circle is equal to the angle on the tangent, except when the angle at the tangent is next to an 90° angle Edit: Nvm i got it, in Triangles and at lines: all angles add up to 180°.
