Circle Furniture ....Am looking for a chair with straight back but the foot rest comes out
@ukestudio30022 жыл бұрын
Have 2 wingback, stressless with ottomans, wood bases ..great for relaxing, napping, watching movies. I play guitar in mine longer than in regular chair due to comfort.

Mike. We just purchased a stationary Mary loveseat. We are debating between ordering the pillow-top ottoman or the footstool that comes with the recliner. Would ordering the footstool instead of the recliner be a mistake?

I have owned a Stressless Mayfair chair for well over 21 years I believe and will never buy any other chair brand except Stressless, I am buying another Stressless Mayfair recliner soon and the 3 seater Buckingham Stressless Sofa , these Stressless chairs are expensive but I wouldn’t buy anything else because of their comfort and quality workmanship

How do I work the side knobs best? When the chair is upright or back a ways? I have the model Stephanie has in that the back I have to give that movement forward to fully recline and the legs part is electric. On the right side of the chair the knob tension feels way different than the left side.
@CircleFurnitureBoston4 жыл бұрын
Hi Donna! Thank you for reaching out! Those knobs are tension knobs. If you are the only person using the chair you do not really need to tighten them or loosen them after you have set them for yourself. The ideal tension is to make them just tight enough so when you are relaxed and sleeping/resting your chair will not go back to sitting position. Also not too tight that you need to loosen them to move your chair into a sitting position. The knobs should both feel the same on either side. If you have further questions about your chair please let us know.

Do people use these as office chairs as well? I've searched for years for a comfortable office chair with no success.

Yes, they do make office chair versions of these chairs. Take a look at the Stressless Office chairs on this page: www.circlefurniture.com/products/home-office/office-chairs

I am looking for a chair that will recline enough to allow my legs to rise higher that my heart like a Zero Gravity recliner. Does this chair do that?
@CircleFurnitureBoston3 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the question, but no Stressless chairs are not zero gravity recliners.

I just purchased the Mary stationary loveseat. My wife likes a footrest. I don’t. We are debating between the footstool that normally comes with the recliner, or the standard pillow-top look ottoman. Would buying the footstool be a mistake?
@CircleFurnitureBoston2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your question Paul. Either footrest option would be viable, but the pillow-top ottoman would probably go better stylistically. The ottoman that goes with a Stressless chair might look awkward with the round base, whereas the pillow-top ottoman has a square base which will relate better to the loveseat you already have. Hope this helps!

Just brought one today, Is she saying it's ok to leave the knobs slight tight but allow it to still be able to slip so it can change with your body movement. The sale guys was saying you should make very tight so it don't move or your wear out the plastic inside. And you end up it's doesn't want to hold a position anymore, slips even as you got it as tight as it go.
@CircleFurnitureBoston5 жыл бұрын
Great Question! We checked with the experts at Stressless to double check. The knobs are not meant to act as a locking mechanism. They are designed to allow some movement. We, and Stressless, advise not making the knobs too tight because it can wear out over time.
@thomas43155 жыл бұрын
So it's the opposite. I believe him its was a locking set. And sliding it was where it out. So it's best not to use the chair as a set locking placement. But as a chair that move if you want to get up or go back . Guess that make sense as it's balance in all position and a slight drag is you adjustment to liking. I also like how you can pull up the back to tilt your head back to sleep. I were lucky. I wanted that chair for 2 yr. and I happen to go to there new store and they wher having a anniversary sale. 1/2 of chair. So I when home made room and got it the next day. I got the medium was thinking small. But best I got best. I love the chair. its a treat. Going to used it and no lock it down now. Thanks

I bought the Stressless Consul 2 years ago,it has become uncomfortable because the seat has sunk and is not as supportive as it was. In my opinion they not worth the money. Chair mechanism and springs in seat & back guaranteed 10 years, if springs break free repair if not you have to buy a new seat . The whole point of buying an expensive Stressless chair was so it would last many years. The swivel/recliner/rocker I bought off ebay for £100 lasted 5 years
@CircleFurnitureBoston5 жыл бұрын
Hi Dave - That does not sound right! Did you contact the dealer where you purchased? They should be able to help determine if that is a defect. Let us know if we can help!
@macraghnaill35535 жыл бұрын
I contacted stressless who told me to check the springs, if springs are broken it's under warranty if not I can buy a new seat from the store I bought the chair from. Also from Stressless website warranty page, "settlement of the seat is not under warranty"

I had the same problem with mine after a few months. The dealer replaced the seat, but it happened again. The dealer took the chair back. I'm afraid to buy another one, even though I'm in the market for a comfortable chair.
@paulstein92582 жыл бұрын
@@sterling1386 Wow. You must have a good dealer. I sat in the consul yesterday. Was on the harder side and noticeably less comfortable than the Mayfair. We wound up getting the Mary stationary Loveseat (it’s a big loveseat), and will be ordering the Magic footstool in signature to go with it. That is the best match in seat height to the Mary. Both 18.1 inches. My wife is insistent on getting the same height.

What's better, the Mayfair or the Reno?
@CircleFurnitureBoston4 жыл бұрын
It's really a personal choice. The Mayfair is our most popular chair. The Reno has a bit more padding. The best thing is to try them out and see what you find more comfortable.

Point Blank they’re overpriced in overrated… The fact that you cannot swap out the cushion seats is ridiculous any person who sleeps or sits on sofas knows that within 2 to 3 years the foam will brake down. so how can you have a sofa well you know that you can’t change the foam
