Now, OA=OB (since they are radii of the circle) Therefore, angle OAB= angle OBA (angles opposite to equal side of a triangle) angle OBA=40° In ∆ AOB, angle OBA +angle OAB+angle AOB=180° (angle sum property) 40°+40°+ angle AOB=180° angle AOB=180°-80° = 100°

The answer of the hw question is 100° here is an explanation those who didn't got the answer because there is an theorem called angles opposite to equal sides are equal in chapter 7 and the above two sides are radii of the circle and those radii are equal so angle A and angle B will be 40° and now we can solve it by sum of all angles of triangle = 180° and then let angle O be x so, a + b +x = 180° .. then put values 40+40+x=180° 80+x=180° x=180-80 hence, x will be 100° Thanks for such a good lecture
