Hello Boris, Am glad you found the videos helpful, you know what V/B is a hidden secret powerful tool, for some reason not many pilots use it!!! Thank you for your kind words and taking the time to leave a comment 🙏🏼 All the best Abdul

@@AbdulmuatiAsiri37 dear sir, I am just amateur simmer, would like your opinion on remote airport without any approach chart. shall I just do a visual circling approach 1.5 nm width?
@AbdulmuatiAsiri372 жыл бұрын
oh nice, 1.5nm for me would be too tight, I would suggest starting with 2nm and then work yourself down, 1.7 would be the minimum to be able to do the turn from downwind to final, Let me know should you have any questions All the best Abdul

Thanks Captain! I usually fly the sim from the left seat, but when I was going to land at Samos LGSM rwy 09 I switched to the right seat so I could see the runway better, as I needed to do a right turn to final. Disaster. If felt so different and I lost the approach so had to do a go around, get back to the left seat and do it all over again. Worked fine. Now I don't switch seats anymore 🙂 Love to hear your experience from switching seats in the real aircraft. For your information, I am only flightsimming.

Hello VNAV PTH, I agree and relate to what you experienced, it does take some time to get use to the perspective from a different seat, if you give it some time it would feel more natural, and you will be able to fly from either side with ease, For me it felt weird at the beginning but as I said with time it felt more natural. Safe flying 😊 Abdul

Captain as always excellent video, can you explain how to intercept outbound and inbound bearings without AT and AP , just using RMI , what’s the technique involved, and please if you can , dedicate one video on the electrical trimmer. Thank You sir . 🙏
@AbdulmuatiAsiri372 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your kind words 🙏🏼 I will put the bearing intercept using the RMI on my list, Regarding your second suggestion about the electrical trim can you tell me more, what do you think the areas I should cover in relation to the trim. Thanks again and let me know if you have any other suggestions or questions All the best Abdul

It’s very cool seeing stuff I’m leaning during instrument training in a 172 being used in a 737 and even more cool to see it in the context of real 737 pilots studying up! But one question… You mentioned pressing HDG SEL as soon as the plane levels off / reaches MDA. During my training (again, C172 part 91) it was reinforced to me that I can’t start that turn / start the maneuver until I’m inside the protected area. In your case I think you said 2.3 miles (from the runway threshold you’re approaching, not the one you’re circling to). You didn’t mention that being a requirement and I doubt you just forgot. Is that simply not a requirement in part 121 whereas it is for part 91?
@AbdulmuatiAsiri375 ай бұрын
Hello @seattleraf Am glad you liked the video, Regarding your question, that is a very good point you mentioned, and the protected area need to be respected for part 121 as well, I assumed that pilots by this point are familiar with the requirement, but you are right I should have mentioned it anyways. In these specific approaches you usually reach the MDA inside the protected area, if not you should wait till you are in it before turning. Thanks again for the observation and the comment, let me know if you have any other questions or comments. All the best, Abdul
