ARTERIES:- 1) carries blood away from the heart 2)carries oxygenated blood 3)have thick walls 4)represented with red color VEINS:- 1)carries blood to the heart 2)carries deoxygenated blood 3)have thin walls 4)represented with blue color CAPILLARIES are different from arteries and veins because they both are concerned with carrying only one type of blood but capillaries are concerned to carry both types of blood i.e. by giving oxygenated blood to tissues and taking deoxygenated blood from them. They are concerned to supply oxygenated blood to each and every part of blood but arteries and veins carry blood to only heart.

It can dialate or constrict under normal conditions. 4.it contains valve that allow the blood to flow in one direction towards the heart 5.All veins carry deoxygenated blood except pulmonary vein Capillary: 1. It is a very narrow blood vessel which has very thin walls. 2. It forms a network throughout the body in all living cells connecting arteries to veins. 3. It can dialate or constrict according to requirement of the tissue. 4. It doesn't have any valve. 5. Veins carry from the tissue of the body towards heart and are closer to the surface of skin whereas the arteries carry away from the heart to the tissue of the body and usually deeper within the body and then pulmonary capillaries are the thin blood vessels that allow oxygen and nutrients to flow to nearby tissues

arteries carry blood away from the heart to different body parts whereas the veins carry the blood from different body parts to the hearts...arteries have thick muscular walls whereas the veins have thin muscular walls but capillaries have no muscles ....arteries have a narrow lumen but on the other hand we have veins with wider lumen ...in arteries ,blood flows in jerks that is spurts because of their response to the ventricular contraction but in veins,blood flow is uniform since it is determined by no valves' movement

Could anyone tell me the answer of my doubt plzzz I think that the pulmonary artery carry deoxygenated blood to the lungs and the pulmonary veins carry oxygenated blood from the lungs to the left atrium and further left ventricle and then through aorta so in the last quiz the question Which artery carry oxygenated blood it must be aorta which carries oxygenated blood and not the pulmonary artery as it is the only artery which carries deoxygenated blood
