I have always maintained that all the pain, worry, embarrassment - and - if you are reliant on the NHS, long waits, could be virtually eliminated if, like in the USA, the procedure was done at birth.

@@algiles881 agree. People in the US keep complaining about being circumcised at birth without ever consenting, but as someone who struggled with self esteem and shame because of phimosis, I wish I could avoid it by getting it dealt with at the start.

@@Adrian-Sko I honestly think the Intactivists in the U.S are serial complainers - if it hadn't been the lack of foreskin, they would have complained their parents had given them brown eyes instead of blue, or they are too tall or too short. Teen or adult circumcision is far, far more painful. Tellingly, a lot of the Intactivists, were not even aware they were circumcised before they took up the cause, which shows just how much it affected them!

To those having the procedure soon: If you're having an operation, take painkillers before you feel pain. This was my guide, and it was suggested that it would prevent pain rather than alleviate it. I'm on day 3 and have had no pain whatsoever-only the glans is sensitive, but it’s very bearable. It's just a shock/discomfort, but not pain, unless knocked with force, which shouldn't happen if you're careful. Also, if you're going under general anaesthesia, don't panic-just be calm and know that it's going to be better, and you will wake up feeling calm. This was my mindset. In my case, they just injected me with propofol and about 5-10 seconds later, I felt the room slowly spin, and my awareness faded away, and the next thing I knew, I woke up, getting ready to be wheeled back to the recovery room all calm like I just took a nap. I felt sleepy for about 30 mins to an hour afterwards. I'm on day 3 and will remove my bandage, so I will update how that went

The bandage was removed very easily (this could be the skill of the surgeon or whoever did it) I had some more swelling afterwards, but sleeping naked and taking anti-inflammation pills helped it go down the following day.

@@keeaan6895 I have about 3 stitches left; I will start wearing underwear once they are out. 0 pain. The sensitivity got better after 2 weeks for me. I think the stitches make you more sensitive, but idk

The videos on your channel are almost like a milestone roadmap to compare and see how do I feel at that timeframe after the operation. It’s been 5 days and I have mostly the same feelings, like not feeling like to get a full shower and wash myself in pieces, wrapping it lightly so it stays in place. Something I would add I still don’t feel too confident about medicating myself twice a day, hopefully that goes away soon as the healing progresses, it’s kinda stressing. Moving around is pretty awkward, walking itself got a little better but bending over, picking up something from the ground, putting on socks or shoes, even sitting and laying down is quite awkward and all of this is because of fear to start bleeding or just having pain and high sensitivity. Really hope this awkward phase quickly fades away.

This video is a big help. 1 week since mine. My reason was phimosis. I was ok allowing COVID and waiting list allowing me to procrastinate, until it got really bad. I had 8 months on the waiting list and then got a cancellation. If there's anyone out there delaying asking for help, just do it! You really don't want to end up begging for the pain to go away while you wait.

I had a circumcision on January 31, 2025. Initially, I felt tightness and hypersensitivity. The bandage fell off the next night, causing discomfort. Over the next few days, I experienced some pain and swelling, especially behind the glans. After a doctor's visit on the 5th day, the dressing was reapplied, but I was advised to remove it the next day. After removing the dressing, I noticed increased swelling and stitches. To manage the discomfort, I'm using a sponge-like cloth to cover my penis and applying lignocaine 2% jelly for pain relief. Currently, I'm experiencing some pain and 80% sensitivity, but I'm following the doctor's advice and taking prescribed medication."

I do still have swelling under my glans where the inner foreskin is, did you experience the same 8 weeks out?

@@vinayaknarayanan8168 the sensitivity does fade pretty quick or at least it did for me after about five weeks. But I've been told sensitivity is particularly individual depending on how often or easy you were able to retract your foreskin before for procedure.

I was circumcised on yesterweek's friday and i don't know about the sutures but the swelling has reduced although the left side of my penis glance is slightly more swollen than the other. How long will it take for ny swelling to go away? How long did you keep putting on dressings? What did you do when your dressing soaked pee because i can't freaking pee in a straight line? it goes sideways sometimes. Do sutures broke if you have an erections because i am starting to get them again as frequently as i used to pre surgery, not as hard because the pain kicks in but how long does it take for the sutures to be removed/dissolved? Does it look okay as in it doesn't look ugly or whatever right?

Thank you for all of the videos you’ve shared about your experience. I’m 1 day post-op. No pain really, except for the erections. Those have been a problem. My bandage is off now. I’ve cleaned up the area, and added ointment. Debating on if I’ll shower tonight, or tomorrow as I’m still bleeding a little bit. My guess is it’s from the “morning wood”. In your experience, was there any pain when showering from the water/soap?

@@Adrian.055 hey there fellow Adrian, don't worry, I had the same concerns. Swelling takes more time to get away, but it will eventually. For me it took about 5 months, but it's just swelling, as long as it's not painful, then you shouldn't worry, just give it more time.

@@Sylvester826 How big of a "donut" we're talking here? Fresh after surgery, and about 2-3 months after, it's normal for the scar to be still swollen, and kinda "wrapping" around. Honestly, after 2 years I still have a visible scar with small bumps, but I guess that's normal? You can try massaging the scar with bio-oil to smoothern it out, I did this for a few months after I was healed, but wasn't consistent with it. It's not painful, doesn't really bother me, it doesn't have any unusual color or isn't sticking out, it's just a scar.

Yeah that’s very normal, I did do a video about the lumps and that they will go away after a month or so. In terms of the frenulum area, this took longer to heal for me. It wasent fully healed for about 3 months. It’s a patience thing which I know is frustrating

I have an extremely low incision under the glans, so I have to wait until the swelling has gone to look at it properly. I said that my glans bend when skin is pulled, so maybe he cut the connecting skin while keeping some frenulum, but I don't see the point-I'd rather just remove it entirely.

The slightest touch is absolutely unbearable, but if I don't make it touch anything it won't get less sensitive... what should I do?

Just bear it and let it get used to the new feeling; every day, it will improve. Letting it not touch anything will do nothing, as you're not desensitising it. Just wear loose pants at first so it will touch every so often to familiarise yourself with the feeling - after a week or so, try underwear would be my advice

Just try not to touch the glans when it's really red. Ur glass gonna have dry skins over or be more pinkish color. Then there's no pain but some discomfort. That's the time when u desensitize it I think.

Hello everyone, I've done my circumcision two weeks ago, not a single stich have fall of, they told me not to bath for a week and aslo they told me that they used dissaovable stitches. On the right side it's clean cut and healed, but on the left side they could not sew up the wound because of veins, under skin is tight vein and its hard on touch, it's a little bit like opened, it drops out like yellow sticky liquid, please helppp i shower every day and change bandages and operation was done with laser. I would be thankfull if anyone can give me some advice..
