I’m sorry I’m so late but here are the chords :) G, G7, G6 (barring the first 3 strings on the 7th fret), G7sus2 (which is the same thing as g6 but shifted down to the fifth fret), C, and Cm For strumming pattern I use dd u u du (play this progression twice when playing G)and switch to Dudu when playing G6 and G7sus2. For the bridge you play c, G6 and G7sus2. Same dd u u du strumming pattern and you play it twice on the G7sus2 chord. Do this twice but on the second repeat play G7sus2 four times (I.e Play the strumming pattern four times) And then switch back to dd u u du for C and Cm (play the strumming pattern twice for each chord) For the end part (where it goes and I can say when you him…) you play G, Cm, G6, and G7sus2. You do this chord progression twice, the first time play the dd u u du strumming pattern twice on the G chord, and on the last time after playing G7sus2 for the last tiMe do a single strum on G. If you have any questions feel free to ask! I’m always willing to help if you need clarification : ) P.s if you’re more of a visual learner, feel free to tell me and I can try to make a tutorial video on it.

I think.. Travis is singing about a guy. Like, maybe a crush he had or still has but this song or the only way to explain his feelings. Circumstance means "A fact or condition connected with or relevant to an event or action." Here's it in a sentence "we wanted to marry but circumstances didn't permit" So maybe he wanted to be with the guy he sang about but circumstances didn't allow that. One of the lyrics say "he ends up with a guy. " So I think his crush got with someone else which left Travis broken. So he wrote this song
