I have heard bad things about Circus Circus, some of which I’m very surprised at. I have stayed at Circus Circus at least once a year for the past 15 years and back in the 80s my parents would take us there as well. I can only remember about 2 incidents where things didn’t go well. Once about 5 years ago, we had just checked in and were unpacking and getting ready to have dinner at The Steakhouse. We heard a groups of guys by our door laughing and making noise as if they were trying to get into the room. I looked out the peephole and they were trying to unlock our door. My husband told them to leave and that he had an open carry permit and would use if he had to. They fled quick! Ever since then, we bring a door stopper with us for added security. Another time, the water wasn’t draining in the tub and we called front desk which came and fixed it promptly. They comped our room for the night and we didn’t even ask. The rooms have always been cleaned well and the staff is great. Slots are loose in the mornings and we really like it there. Never any issues and The West Tower rooms are the best.

I just stayed there in March of 2021 and had a great time... Stayed in the casino tower, no bed bugs, clean room, a bit hood but I'm a slot jockey so it's something about having a bucket full of quarters that does it for me 🙂 peace and blessings to you both

Thanks for giving Circus Circus a try. Our family has stayed there every summer (except last summer) since the 90's. It's definitely not the most luxurious spot, but it hits the mark for economic family fun in Vegas. When the kids aren't with us, we stay at the Palazzo 😆😎 .

That tall Circus Circus Manor sign at 0:38 with the round top has been there since 1983 when the Manor section originally opened. It's exactly the same as it was 38 years ago. I stayed at the Manor with my family on a road trip to Montana in 1984.. I was only 14 years old. There used to be a small casino(about 7 small rows of slot machines)and a cocktail bar in the Manor but they were removed in the late 90s.

i've stayed at Circus Circus three times most recently at the end of December 2022 for my third trip to Vegas from the northeast and I have always been satisfied with it. As a roller coaster enthusiast I love how there's an amusement park right at the hotel. That has always been so cool to me since the first time I came to Vegas when I was seven with my family. The Buffet is also really good there despite that also getting mixed reviews. I'm planning to come again to Vegas this year and probably gonna stay somewhere else, but Circus Circus is always in my heart and I will probably visit there for a bit on my next trip in Vegas 🤩

Why did they take it out? We stopped staying at Circus Circus because we have asthma and this particular hotel had poor ventilation and strongly smelled of smoke. I as always partial to Excalibur and loved their arcade too.

In several trips to Vegas, I’ve stayed at Circus Circus three times; twice in rooms in towers and once in the old motor hotel rooms tucked in the back. There was nothing special to any of rooms. They were clean, they had a bed to sleep in and a TV to watch when in the room. I’d say the quality level was similar to a Super8 or a Day’s Inn. If you’re expecting Sheraton-level quality, you’re going to be disappointed. I had decent luck in the casino but I was more the type to choose a hotel for the price and wander the Strip and visit multiple casinos for food and shows. The Steakhouse is great and I only ate in the buffet twice; breakfast one day and dinner another. This was in 1993 when it cost $2.99 and $5.99 respectively. Breakfast was more enjoyable. I’m hoping that, when new resorts open up, Circus Circus’ current ownership will decide an upgrade ofbthe interior will be a good idea. Overall, it’s a decent place but it is showing it’s age compared to the south end of the Strip.

I really enjoyed your video I stay at Circus Circus whenever I go to Vegas. I think the bad reviews are from the little hotel rooms in the back. I have always enjoyed staying at Circus Circus. And I'm hoping with a little luck fingers crossed I'll be able to go out there this year. I lived in Vegas for a while and always went to Circus Circus to gamble because I could play Video Poker right next to the arcade, where my son would go play. We are talking over 30 years ago. I wouldn't leave him there now though. It used to be safer.

Circus Circus was mostly middle class families that stayed/gambled there from 1975-1995. But once Luxor, MGM Grand, and Treasure Island opened in 1994 the crowd at Circus quickly changed to a "budget" crowd. By 1997 it was a totally different crowd.

I have stayed at Circus Circus a few times from 1999 to 2010. It was nice back then but even the $68 per night price tag would not be enticing enough for me to stay there nowadays. The place has great history and is well deserving of a huge makeover. The first time I stayed there in 1999, the dinner buffet was $5.99. I believe the room was $32 a night. The last time I stayed there in 2010, the dinner buffet was $14.99 and I believe the room was $56 a night.

That red roller coaster (Canyon Blaster) is a very common model made by Arrow, one of the biggest, most reputable coaster manufacturers historically. They are out of business now sadly but there are still tons of them operating to this day. It may be a little rough due to age but safetywise it should be top notch.

I stayed there once when MGM had a promotion that if you stay 4 days or more at any property you'd get free tickets to your choice of Cirque du Soleil shows. I stayed at CC because it was the cheapest and went to see KA at MGM, it was a fantastic weekend. CC is basic but the stay was fine.

I agree about the lights out front of circus circus, that is the most classic iconic Vegas look that is old school and just gives you that Vegas Vibe that no new hotel can match. The old Sahara use to have the best front with the lights and circle drive, now, with all the re-branding and changes of owners it is dark and lackluster so in my book the front of Circus Circus is the best front in all of Vegas. I have stayed there 5 times, the first time was in 1980(I was 8 years old) and I remember stopping in Vegas on our way back to Illinois from California headed to Salt Lake City first and I remember a few games and the big top show but the dome was not built until the mid 90s the next trips were for Pool leagues when the APA Championship was played across the street at the old Riviera before it was imploded. Infact, that was the last event there before they closed the night after it was over. We stayed in the towers twice before we realized the Casino elevator rooms were much closer, the walk from our room to the event center where they played pool was a just under mile long if you have to play multiple times through the day and night that walk back from across the street felt like it took forever especially when you started the day at 8am and they played that night till after 3am, but the rooms in the towers were all different for instance out King room was huge, the bathroom was 3× the size as our home bathroom and that was great since we were there for 8 days it was nice to not feel like your in a small box. The rooms over the Casino are older, smaller, and the bathroom was basic but it had just been remodeled the first year we moved to shorten the walk, in my case that year it was a short ride because I broke my knee a week before our trip so I had to make arrangements to rent a scooter or it was going to be a wasted trip. For the price, you can't beat it, it can feel over ran with kids but as we started going out to Vegas more often we figured out it was like that in almost every hotel in the spring and summer months. There is plenty to do and you won't get bore, cheaper shopping than the other casinos,and it was more comfortable than a couple higher end Casino we have stayed in as well. It's been about 3 years since we stayed there but since we went to Vegas as a large group from a small town we had a blast and it gave us the opportunity to see all the different room styles from tower to tower that normally you wouldn't get. The Steakhouse is a classic as well, its very good and even Vegas locals will make the trip to the strip to eat there, most locals avoid the strip as much as possible because it's expensive and full of tourists. I'm glad you did a video and proved its not the worst place to stay!(the winner of the worst hotel is Westgate) Love you guys, I hope I run into you someday on my next adventure to Vegas! We also like the Stratosphere because there is so much to do that is an experience of its own! Location sucks but free Valet parking makes this one of my top picks for budget hotels. I haven't stayed since the name change and hope you do an updated video there someday just to see what has changed over the last couple years.... Sorry for the book lol 😆 ♡U2

I stayed here when I was a kid so a lot has changed at CC and in Vegas since then. The last time I was in Vegas was in my 20's back in the 90's and I'm now 55. Back then I was in Vegas 3 times and stayed at the Excalibur, New York New York and Stardust which I know is gone and now the beautiful Resorts World. The room you guys have looks pretty decent it's just too bad the windows were cleaner to enjoy the room. My friend and her boyfriend are staying there this weekend so I'll have to ask her what she though of the overall property. Keep of the fun reviews and stay well!

First time in Vegas in January 2002 we were on a limited budget (backpacking across the US) and after staying in hostels for weeks Circus Circus was like a 5 star hotel. The room was huge, we had a private bathroom and free coffee in the room. We spent zero time in the casino until the last night. At that time that end of the strip was full of casinos - Riviera, Sahara etc so being tourists we would head out every morning and walk the strip. Circus Circus was fine but there was so many kids - we just didn't want to spend anytime in the casino. I wouldn't stay there now as there's way better options downtown or even elsewhere on the strip for similar money.

We USED to stay at hotels on the strip, but now our fav hotel/casino is Sam's Town. Has many amenities including hair salon, gift shop, movie theatre, arcade, bowling alley, bingo, several places to eat at including a steak house, slots, cards, etc. There is something for everyone. Located on Boulder Hwy. Rooms are clean at reasonable rates.

you know the "jewel" about Circus Circus, they actually have benches where you can sit. You know how casinos are sooo huge and you get tired walking around. Circus Circus is so friendly and nice and people with their dogs, and I loved it so, so much! Can't want to get back to that particular casino. It's off the main strip, true, but even walking alone at night, was never bothered. There is a bus stop there, too. Plus food prices very reasonable. And I love their dice games. This video makes me want to go back ASAP!

We've stayed at Circus Circus several times over the years, and have always had a great time. Like the gentleman below said it's not about luxury, but our rooms have been clean and comfortable! We do a lot while in Vegas, the Turn-Up is indeed REAL OKAY! ;o) So the hotel is great for sleeping, shower, relaxing. But for working folks, travelers on a budget. Circus Circus is great. And the Steakhouse is the TRUTH!!!

I, too, LOVE, CIRCUS CIRCUS, especially the downstairs games, they remind me of carnival days which I love sooo much, and I so wanted to play those carnival games, but they look for youngsters, but next time I will play those games. Love them soo much, remind me of childhood. I LOVE CIRCUS, CIRCUS, and I do recall that steakhouse! Yes, looks yummy. Also some photograph place they have there is something to do! Oh no, say it's closed! buffalo old time photo. We loved doing those photos, especially at Museums in Chicago .... oh wow! take advantage of stuff while it's there!

Y’all are the cutest couple! ❤️😘really enjoy watching your videos... I have found when I travel to Vegas I always have multiple hotel offers from MGM and the Wynn. I combine them so I can stay at least 6 nights. Now the key is to stay in the less exclusive properties first, like Excalibur or Luxor, then go to the Wynn for the tail end of the trip, otherwise you will be comparing the two and will be not as excited as you could have been😂👍🏼just a suggestion

12:00 I’ve ridden that coaster plenty of times. The loops are really fun and the roller coaster is fast. WARNING: The ride will make you it’s B*%?h if you let it! 😂 I’m not playing. Make sure you lock your shoulders against the sides and keep your head stiff in the middle so you don’t bang it on the sides. Aside from that, it’s a fun ride! 😂😁
