I had this same Q&Q machine (circus circus) when i was a child. I knew other guys with handheld machines, but they had Game and Watch ones. Great memories of these years. A pitty i lost this toy long ago. Thanks for your review! Cheers!!

Thanks for sharing that. You're genuinely the first person I've ever heard from who had one of these. It's a solid favourite of mine, regardless of the obscurity.

I had (and still have) Tarzan and Submarine. Used to spend hours playing these back in the 80's along with my Nintendo Fire and Parachute, Bandai Seal Land and Gakken Runaway (which again I still have all my originals). Could never get rid of these now and still find myself digging them out now and again for a quick game or two.

Parachute was the one Nintendo G&W I had in the 80s. I re-bought it a while back on ebay but (regrettably) sold it on again. I have managed to set up a Raspberry Pi handheld though, and that runs emulators. I have some pretty great versions of the old G&W's set up on that. Feels (almost) like playing the real thing on the Pi handheld.

Great price it was, too. One of a few I've picked up from this company: tshirtpark.com/products/problems-can-be-sold-t-shirt (not sponsored, btw - I just like their shirts 🤣)

Oh man, I loved those old little handheld games. I'm gonna have to try and hunt for some. I still have a donky Kong one from childhood.

Would that be the Nintendo Game & Watch Donkey Kong?

@@TheRetroManRandySavage That's a proper classic. I used to have one. Believe it or not, it was when I worked as a dustman. Someone had thrown it out with their rubbish. I spotted it and my options were either throw it in the back of the lorry to go to landfill, or take it home. Regrettably, I sold it on ebay a few years later.

@@RetroSpectives I saw a documentary once about the bin men and what they had found over the year's. Some had found really expensive items. One guy I can't remember if he'd pulled a painting out or a vase, but it was literally worth tens of thousands.😂

@@TheRetroManRandySavage I can vouch for that. In the three years I worked that job, the driver I worked with collected all sorts of junk and did a car boot sale two or three times a year. According to him, framed pictures were really popular. People throw out LOADS of those.

I remember my baby brother having a much more basic Pacman hand-held with a very attainable max score limit. Not a gamer myself but I once achieved a worldwide ranking of 50 on Miniclip's Mr. Men Pinball. Not being big-headed but I could have gone pro.

Never seen one of these, the first electronic game I had was one called "Merlin" looked a bit like an early mobile phone in red

I do remember the Merlin (I think there's an advert on one of the toy compilations). I knew this one was obscure when I started making the video, but I REALLY wanted to cover it as it's special to me, and I feel it could do with more coverage to preserve it's history.

Ecto-1 there on the shelf 👍

Yeah, I have the 2016 Ecto on the left (in shot) and the 1984 Ecto on the right, on the other side of the desk. I'd do a room tour, but I think I'd be the only person interested in watching it (and maybe my mum and my wife 🤣).
