In the books she’s described as looking similar to her which is why she and Geralt started a relationship. Well that and she was using him. Also she and Ciri are supposed to share a cousin so technically they’re related in a way. The show would be so much better if the casting wasn’t so distracting and all over the place. Plus a former writer recently said that other writers hated the source material and were making fun of it so it’s not hard to believe that the show just doesn’t care at this point.

I personally did not like her a lot in the first season, but I like the show maker idea, that she got her red hair and scars after a big accident in the fight with Nilfguard, and it seems like she changed not only physically, but also mentally. She starts acting like a Triss that I am used to in-game series. Anna Shaffer made tremendous work to give her character that soft voice, a little bit naive, lighting, fulfilled with empathy, politeness, and delicate qualities that Triss has! It seems like she or show makers studied the game series as well. From the worst character in the first series to the one of the best on second! I see growth in actor work. She is fantastic!

A good choice, I, too, in every playthrough I always choose only Triss, and I didn’t regret anything, especially after reading the books many times and analyzing the facts from two sources. I don’t understand why people love Yen... It’s the same as not respecting yourself and Geralt of Rivia himself and continuing to live in the illusion of the genie. It’s one thing if it’s just a matter of taste, but if we talk about the overall story of two sorceresses and a love triangle. Triss has always been better than Yen. Yennefer never saved Geralt’s life like that, she only provided financial support, returned the swords and that’s it... that’s where the story ended, she only read him morals, raped his brains in all the books and cheated directly with Istred without regret + manipulated him as in the books, as in the game.... Hmm, an ideal woman, there are no words... I mentally laugh at those people who are trying to so stupidly justify Yennefer and insult Triss as much as possible with every stupid fantasy, lie... I consider such people complete idiots without love for logic and common sense. While Triss, in turn, saved Geralt in the books more than once.... Twice on Tanned, especially at that moment after the battle with Vilgefortz, where Triss herself was wounded and without strength, but did not leave Geralt and they helped her teleport him to Brokilon. And during the pogrom in Rivia, where she showed her courage and initiative, suppressed the riot, thereby saving hundreds of lives, including the life of Geralt, even after this event she ended up in the legends of the Lady of the Lake, but Yennefer did not, because nothing I didn’t do anything sensible, I didn’t do anything in all the books, I just knew how to speak beautifully, which seduced many, but to do impeccable things like Triss based on two sources - I repeat, I never noticed. So draw your own conclusion. Yen has always been a negative character, a bitchy woman with delusions of grandeur and has not changed a bit over the years. Always harmed society, including Geralt and Ciri - No exception. And their love was generally artificial, like their feelings, woven with the help of the magic of gin, so much for sincerity.

Well sense I haven't watched the show in full, but played all the games. Looks like they have Geralt pretty close with the casting. Ceri looks 'okay' (Bad hair dye job) Pretty close to the expected age of the game character. That brings along Triss and Yen. Sorry, the actresses are not believable in these rolls. Yen (in the other video I watched) looks far to young and a bit nerdy.. Triss? Is a fiery red head and not some meek little lamb. Also Triss (in the game) is a natural red head. (key word: Natural.) So the dye job is also pretty bad. I'm not sure if this would be a show that would be true enough to the source material for me to actually want to spend money on a subscription. We all know Geralt's history with both ladies. If the show follows with some of the "lore" of the games? Geralt would more resemble..well.. robbing the cradle comes to mind.
