This was recorded during the first few months of the show being released back in 2002 in Montreal Canada. The singers were Mathieu Lavoie (Canadian) and Zara Tellander (Swedish). The violinist is Carmen Piculeata ; All three are among the best musician ever to perform at Cirque.

I enjoyed the live version of El Pendulo much more than what is on the album. It was extremely heavenly and lifted my spirits to great heights!

alex alvarez I never said the album version of this song was terrible. It is extremely beautiful, but the live version I found to sound so much better and like living in a paradise, and I believe all the songs on the CD album are amazing.

mixeli DafterSkriller The portion which featured his voice in this song was left out. When I first watched this video, I was a tad bit disappointed about it. Even more disappointing is that a video of the entire live performance was deleted from KZbin. There are other videos on KZbin that feature performances filmed at different locations and times, but I wasn't quite impressed with those either.

When I was 4 when I saw this in 2001 I thought they were Tarzan 😂 Because before I saw the show I just finished Tarzan and Jane and I was excited 🤩

For anyone who wants to hear the live version of this song that contains one of Mathieu Lavoie's parts that was removed in this version, I found a video on KZbin that contains it. It appears that my comment will not appear if I place a link/url in it, so I will just describe it. The title of the video is "Varekai Aerial Straps, Cirque du Soleil", and the name of the uploader is mcirque. I am just baffled that even though I searched high and low for a video that contained that part of his, the video that I mentioned had remained on KZbin for almost nine years. :/
