I was diagnosed with this 8 months ago. Everything in this video is what they warned me about and its happing. I don't have long on this earth. But this video at least was able to explain to me what the doctors cant seem too. It will be nice when the hospital visits are no longer a weekly adventure.

I encountered this to while in nursing school, its because they don't understand the material themselves therefore they can't teach it causing problems for students. Not everyone with a BSN or MSN can teach...many of them is very arrogant too.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I just found out on Labor Day that my sister is suffering from liver problems. She’s an alcoholic, and has been one for at least 30 years. She hasn’t come right out and said it, but I know it’s cirrhosis. I’m so upset. I also have a brother who died from alcohol related illness back in 2017. I don’t know why God chose to spare me from the disease of addiction,. I wish I had something intelligent to say, but I am choked up and at a loss for words. May your sister rest in peace.

Why would you say you don’t enjoy taking care of liver patients? It’s not very professional to state that publicly & offensive to some. Don’t you think they feel bad enough that they have to have someone care for them.. let alone knowing there nurse doesn’t “prefer” to take care of them.
@ludayasinsky24054 жыл бұрын
Everybody has their preferences. There are certain specialties people enjoy and certain ones they don’t. It shouldn’t be offensive.
@babyg86623 жыл бұрын

Because he's a person and has a right to Express himself. If he were to say it to a patient, it then becomes an issue. If he doesn't take good care of the patient because it's not a preference, it then becomes an issue; however, being able to Express it is a human right. Also, we're not responsible to for others sensitivities! If a person gets offended by someone's personal preferences, then that is on the sensitive person. We cant possibly walk around censoring ourselves because we may offend someone. If anything, I have the inkling to call you offensive because you're telling a person they're required to deal with abuse, just because they have a nursing profession. Are we not people, too? Can we not have preferences, just as people in other career fields!? Get off your high horse! As if you haven't verbally expressed your preferences and likely offended someone.
@davidhutcheson78022 жыл бұрын
Sounds like to me you would get offended by someone telling you the truth about their preference or even your diagnosis then you would if they lied to you about it I would rather have the truth

You should NEVER reduce protein intake. You need it to maintain ancotic pressure in blood vessels, and the reason why they are ascitic in the fisrt place is low proein in the blood specifically albumen ... same applies to Kwashiokor albeit pathology with this one is different.
@melsue10262 жыл бұрын
For certain liver issues? Yes absolutely you should reduce protein intake. The liver can’t metabolize it like normal, therefore- it’s just building up as ammonia in the blood-causing encephalopathy. So keep eating tons of protein, you risk further encephalopathy. No you shouldn’t cut out completely, but reduce it.
