Great video! I've never flown into Carlsbad at night. Thanks for the video. I'm not sure if it's just the camera adjusting for light levels, but you may want to give some thought to dimming all lighting and panels as low as you can have it and still read it. It's great for preserving that night vision to see outside! It's what I did when flying night/goggles in the military and it definitely helped. What was your flight time to get down there? Thanks again!

Just discovered you. Keep doing what you are doing and this channel will get big. So relaxing to get my aviation fix thanks to your generosity of allowing us to tag along. Always makes me laugh how our beautiful ladies get their naps in and we arrive tired as they are pushing up to afterburner detent after arrival. It’s a good life all in all. Unrelated, consider having a pair of clear safety glasses on hand. You would be surprised how many bird strikes happen at night. Nothing like plastic and 140kts of wind to focus your mind. Ask me how I know, RIP lil dove and windscreen. Just a pro tip. 😂 and someone please tell me why doves fly at night. Makes no sense to me. Anyway thank you for your channel, very well done sir!

Question? Did you go to commercial flight school? Are you trying to get to 1500 hours in your book so you can apply for a job in the regionals? Are you going to college working on a degree? Just curious as your a lucky guy at your age who gets to fly a new Cirrus around. Im sure there is a strategy in play. It seems like instead of becoming a CFI to build hours you get to fly the Cirrus around. Pretty cool.

@@westcoastflyer Your videos are good. I would love to know your strategy and what your goal is? Also if your working on your 4 year degree? Next stop Regionals? Your a good pilot. Very well trained I can tell. I would be willing to bet you went to a commercial flight school like ATP. We have a few things in common. First the waterskiiing. Im much older than you but I tournament waterskiied when I was young as well. I trained with Mike Syderhoud in Redding and Dave Bezel in Fl in the 90s. I knew Bob and Kris LaPoint, Sammy Devall and the best slalom skier in the world Andy Maple. I was in the boat and saw him run 41 off during pratice. It was the greatest thing I have ever seen! Im a private pilot. I flew a Cirrus for the first time in 2005. It changed everything for me. Now I mentor youth on career paths. Your an interesting kid. It would be nice to talk to you sometime. Your very lucky to have parents that support you. I hope your still skiing as well as flying. Growing up on Bel Aqua must have been amazing. You might consider making a video talking a bit about your college and flight school plus your goals after you get to 1500 hrs. A video showing your path could help others. Mastercraft and Cirrus are my two favorite machines. They are both amazing. I look forward to seeing your future videos.

@@BayAreaCowboywow how cool! Thank you for the kind words. I went to Mach 5 Aviation in Auburn Ca! That’s amazing how you grew up in the sport and saw the greats like Andy and Sammy compete! I am an incoming sophomore at ASU but mostly doing online to stay flexible with flying and ski training. Would love to make a video about all that you mentioned! Thanks again

@@westcoastflyer Thats so cool. I hope you do make some other video on waterskiiing as well as flying and your future goals. Maybe even a detailed intro video on who you are and your goals. Im glad your working on your degree. As soon you finish plus hit 1500hrs you can apply for a job at the regionals. Its amazing how much they are paying right now. You will be able to go to the majors a few years after that. Its amazing what they are paying pilots in the majors. There is a big shortage as Im sure you know about. You are doing a very similar path I was on except for I did not learn to fly until I was older. I wish I would have learned at your age. FYI I saw Sammy jump 210. It was amazing. His sister Camille ran into 38 off back in her day. She was also a good jump and trick skier. I met Sammy at Marine World at a Coors Lite tour stop. Him and his sister were super nice. I joked with him about having hidden wings on his back as he seemed to be able to fly when he jumped. He was pretty amazing to watch.

Does someone going from the front to the back have any significant effect on the flight characteristics? Is the change in CG apparent?
@westcoastflyer Жыл бұрын
Sometimes I have two people in the back and no one up front which I can feel in the takeoff but really doesn’t handle different. Cirrus flies amazing! Thanks for your question!
