Thank you so much Q8 for putting out great content for x-Plane, most people don’t realize just how good a platform it has become. I have both MSFS and x-Plane 12 and whenever I wish to practice IFR procedures of just plain realistic flying, my go to is x-Plane 12!

I also enjoyed training on XP12 for my instrument and multi engine, it felt so much better than on MSFS.

A big thank you Q8 for this great test/showcase flight. While I mainly fly airliners, I thoroughly enjoyed the flight, with this very attractive add-on, and I think having the developer live with you is a very big plus, especially this developer who is very interesting to listen to, answers questions in a very honest and humble manner and whose dedication to his products commands respect. Are you using any weather addon? The turbulence simulation in Xplane 12 is fantastic. The most realistic I've seen in a simulator.

Regarding the debate here comparing XPlane 12 with MSFS2024. I have been using FSX, P3D and MSFS2020 and I love them all. I have decided to postpone buying MSFS2024, at least until the dust settles a bit and they polish it off. I have never used XPlane. Watching this excellent video and reading the comments here, I've got a sudden idea 😀 What if I buy XPlane 12 now (which is about half the price of MSFS2024) and I buy MSFS20204 later (in a few months perhaps)? In this way I will have the best of both worlds. So my question is: if I will have both running on the same machine (mine is a powerful Intel I9 with plenty of hard drive) will they interfere in any way? Also, I have lots of addons in MSFS2020, if this could be a factor? Thanks again and Cheers from Sydney, Australia, yours Nick. @@omarflight5412 if I had to break it down. Flight model, xplane wins. Visuals, FS24 wins by far. AI Traffic/ATC - FS24 wins. Systems/Avianics- Xplane wins. But at the end of the day it's all personal preference. If you using the sim strictly for flight training aid, get Xplane.

I am a real pilot myself and got myself involved with flight simulation back in 2021. I have spent time in both XPlane and MSFS and in my opinion XPlane is 100% the way to go, especially physics wise.

Absolutely, I instructed for the airlines for 25 years and if you’re looking for an FAA approved flight sim for practicing IFR procedures, x-Plane 12 is the way to go, even some of supervised time flown in x-plane can count for your private pilot license, not the case with MSFS

I suggest you watch a video by v1 simulations comparing the a321 from xplane and msfs 2024. He is a real world Airbus pilot

Yes they have stepped things up for sure and still kept the price at a reasonable level. Outstanding work.

Set your HSI.... both when in gps as when on vloc.... run some FREDA and GUMPS, captain step up your flying game ....

you need to fly into the wind, you almost missed the runway, missed the trim.

I had no trim as my joystick buttons all went inop.

Please set those props at 2300 rpm when instructed....
