Roscillin, I paid for a $100 course (actually 1 Cisco Learning Credit, which is like $100), Cisco DevNet Associate, and that got me 48 CE's. Then the other 32 CE's I got for free off of Cisco's Digital Learning.

@@roscillinb7243 Yup, a good bit of CE credits can be found for free. The CCNP level courses are worth a good bit of CE credits (such as SP Core & SP Advanced Route). They are worth 64 & 40 CE credits respectfully, however they are also very expensive (~$1,000 each).

Can I apply 40 continuing education credits I received from instructor lead training to only 1 of the 2? i.e. can I let ENARSI expire, but apply 40 to the ENCOR so I can move forward with the CCIE EI Lab? gladly... here's how I got the 80 total CE's (continuing education credits) needed to recert all my pro and associate certs. If you only need 30 CE's for Recertifying CCNA, then you can just do some of these. The DevNet course below was on sale for $99 or 1 CLC (Cisco Learning Credit). I used 1 CLC to pay for it. I went through the course and I recall needing to pass some quizes along the way. Then I found some online courses, also shown below, to get the other 32 CE's I needed. 48+32=80 DevNet Associate Fundamentals Course developer.cisco.com/certification/fundamentals/ 48 CE credits - Devnet Associate Fundamentals Course (link shown above) 12 CE credits - CUST-SDA-FUND - Planning and Deploying SD-Access Fundamentals v1.0 6 CE credits - A-SDW-APPEXP - The SD-WAN Mastery Collection - Managing the Application Experience v1.0 6 CE Credits - A-SDW-START - The SD-WAN Mastery Collection - Getting Started 6 CE Credits - A-SDW-DATPLN - The SD-WAN Mastery Collection - Deploying The Data Plane 2 CE Credits - A-SDW-CTRPLN - The SD-WAN Mastery Collection - Bringing Up The Control Plane Devices

Hello Aaron , Thanks for the detailed video , i was actually planning on going for the CCNP ENCOR cert to recertify by CCNA/CCNP certs! The only questions i have is a) How long did it take for you to go through both the devnet course and the free CE credits ( 32)? B) What is the difficulty of the content in both as i have 2 months before my expiry date? Only reason being i haven't touched mouch on SD WAN so i'm just checking what kind of pre requirements there is for me to be successful. Thanks in advance!!

The DevNet course is extensive and takes some time to get through. The free Cisco online learning courses I did didn't take long at all. You will need to verify if there is currently the same free digital learning available to you now in August 2022, since I did this a couple years ago, and things change.

Hi, it sounds like you may have already done this. But I'll restate it just incase... at 8:18 in the video, I show how to go to ce.cisco.com and to the "Submit items", which is where you have to select all the appropriate information and enter the Certificate identifier number that was on the course completion certificate, at the very bottom right corner. I did this about a year ago, so there may be some changes. I did just see this update... towards the bottom, in a green outlined box.... i pasted it here for convenience. www.cisco.com/c/en/us/training-events/training-certifications/training/continuing-education-program.html#~ce-process UPDATE: Effective October 20th, 2021- Cisco Digital Learning has been converted from an ‘Item Type’ to a ‘Content Provider’ when submitting for course credits. To submit a claim for digital/self-paced courses or instructor-led courses delivered by Cisco, please select ‘Cisco Direct Delivery’ as the item type and choose the appropriate provider based on your course delivery. *Please note CPLL-Lite courses (digital with no labs) are NOT eligible for CE credits. Courses delivered by External (non-Cisco) Learning Providers should be submitted using the ‘Instructor Led Training’ Item Type.

if I have to renew an CCNA and a CCNP certificate, once I’ve reached 30 credits (the threshold for the CCNA renewal), will those 30 credits be left on my account to reach the 80 needed for the CCNP or will they be wiped and do need to earn form beginning for CCNP?

Hi Domy, I would defer to the Cisco Certification Support folks for specifics on that… certsupport.cisco.com/s/?language=en_US …but I did try to find the answer, and I’m unsure if #4 here speaks to that or not www.cisco.com/c/en/us/training-events/training-certifications/training/continuing-education-program.html?wcmmode=disabled#~ce-catalog 4. @aarontechtalk3 жыл бұрын
I don't think so. I took courses that were for an Associate level and got CE's from them, that were applied to recertify my Professional level Certs. I mean, I took a DevNet Associate online course and got 48 CE's from it, and I applied those CE's to help recertify my CCNP Ent and CCNP SP. When I need specific questions answered I will often reach out to Cisco Certification Support - certsupport.cisco.com/s/?language=en_US ...and click login or "my cases" in the top/right corner... you can create support cases for you specific certification questions. Yeah, I understand...Cisco has retired my Design certs also... CCDA, CCDP. Apparently they rolled the specific design certs into Enterprise. It's kind of cool that Cisco introduced the new Specialist level certs... so you can, for instance, get a Design-related Specialty by taking 300-420 or 300-425. So, I guess if you wanted to, you could get a Security related specialty by taking any one CCNP Security related exam, or CyberOps Associate. Interestingly, I just now saw that Cisco has added a few more entry-level CCT certs...Data Center, Collaboration, Route/Switch. www.cisco.com/c/en/us/training-events/training-certifications/certifications.html#~certifications

After that, I mention in the video around the 11:00 mark, that after a while of waiting you will then see your credential recertified for 3 more years.
