I love that place. I used to eat there all the time with my best friend who is no longer with us. So many great memories, and such fantastic migas. I hope it is around for another 100 years.

I was just thinking about this place the other day. Great memories eating there in the 70's and 80's when I lived in Austin. Rudy who founded the restaurant I think in the late 40's early 50's has passed but the family still runs it. Have dropped in over the years and it was like time stood still. One of those special hole in the wall places you can't recreate. Go check it out. Hello to Julie, David and the rest of the family!

I’ve been there a bunch of times, and their migas and fajitas plate is pretty darn good, and so is their coffee.

That sounds so good! I know this sounds bad, and it is probably because I am just a very small town girl, but places scare me that have bars over the windows!!! To me that gives me the sense that this area is a dangerous place to be.

They are literally in the hottest neighborhood in Austin. They own the property and can easily sell for at least $7 million right now. Don’t cry for them.

Sad that it's in Austin. What a wicked ungodly place our once noble capitol city has become.

One of two Democratic party dining strongholds (Cisco's and Scholtz Garden) - right down the street from county DEM HQ. Could find Bob Bullock here for breakfast - or at GM Steakhouse on Lamar. 🥞 🍳 ☕

Yeah, tons of Californians moving to Austin, only gonna get worse.

What are you going to do about all the people, moving out there from California, yes i would like a tofu wrap, steamed with a bowl of rice, decaf macchiato, organic style, tell them, what a shame, you drove all the way out here, and we don't have that here, let alone, what your even talking about 😁
@NEVERHAVEHIGHEXPECTATIONS Жыл бұрын
Nice stereotype. Sorry, that's just what the Liberal eats. I was born and raised here in California. I don't eat that crap you're speaking of.

it is sad to see how Austin has been destroyed the last 20 years. Ruined by the California trash and drugs
