This is definitely one of the best TCR videos that I have had the pleasure to watch. Not many dry eyes in the audience. Manuel & Frank Barroso are humble, loving, hard-working people and they are the epitome of " The salt of the earth folks". I loved when Manuel said when he spoke from the heart saying " God does not care about the size of your wallet, He cares about the size of your heart". Port Isabel is blessed to have the fine Barroso family as citizens.

Martin - why did they close?
@KMartin13112 жыл бұрын
@@z-z-z-z I'm a Port Isabel native. From what I understand of the situation, the father (Manuel) decided to retire. Frank was set to take over the restaurant, but because of the pandemic, they didn't have enough $$$ to re-open and were forced to remain closed. Frank does still sell his salsa, though. And I highly recommend people buy as much as they can. The reason why I say that? Read on.... I was in Port Isabel just a few days ago (9/28-10/1), and heard rumblings of a possible re-opening, but nothing "for sure" just yet. I'm guessing Frank is accumulating the $$$ from his salsa sales in order to be able to afford a proper re-opening the restaurant. As for "when" that happens? I don't know. But I think it's coming.

Wow! Mr. Barroso. It was a pleasure learning about your life and your family commitment to God, family and your customers. I will definitely take a trip over to taste your breakfast one of these days. While I don't indulge on tortillas de arina much anymore the rest of your items look great. I was emotionally touched by the story of your family and restaurant. I'm glad I clicked on this video. I to am facing some giant trials in my life right now and now more than ever I need to lean on God to bring me through. You just reminded me that one must look back and see how God has blessed us so many times in our journey through life's storms. I do believe that God speaks to us through his word and we ought to always meditate on his word daily. He also uses the trials in our lives to draw his children back to him. We must always trust in his ways not ours. Always remember that the beginning of wisdom comes in the fear of God as the word states. I will see you soon, brother. Have a blessed day.
