Just did it on a MFC J4610DW. Not sure if the cardriges are same, but the manual is. After exchanging the chips, the printer accepted the cardriges without any complaint. The door on the J4610 modell is more tight and you have to be cut out a litte more out, but it is no real problem.

Hi, can I put the CISS just above the printer? or it will cause ink overflow in the printhead?

Thanks for this video. I think the Brother printers are perfect for the CISS. I have a question. Does the printer stop printing when the reported ink level is zero? Do these cartridges require an external chip resetter like the Epson ones? Sorry for the question but I still don't own a Brother printer.

PLS I JUST BOUGHT A NEW INK FOR MY MCF-J4510DW PRINTER,THEY ARE INSERT CORRECTLY BUT IT WOULDNT PRINT ANYTHING.....I DONT KNOW IF ITS THE INK OR THE PRINTER.

I am using this system for Canon all in one and it is a really good. It is time for me to get a new all in one printer and thinking Brother MFC-J4420DW. The cartridge number are lc223, lc225, lc227. Are they different from lc 123, lc 125, lc127 I wonder. I would be grateful if someone could give me any information. Thank you. M

Hi, can the ink line run underneath the printer? Also can the ink bottles be placed on a shelf below as our printer is on a shelf with not much room for anything else! Cheers

Hi Chris, I'm afraid you can't have the reservoirs at a different height to the printer, sorry. Running the ink line under the printer might pinch them and stop the ink flowing properly, too. Have you considered our high-capacity refillable cartridges? They might be a better option if you're restricted for space. Many thanks, Zac

cityinkexpress I'm picking up the printer today so will see how much spare space I have on the shelf. Ideally I want something with less to maintain, filling the bottles seems quicker than doing the cartridges individually. Did you use this printer after setting it up? If so would you recommend it? I want something that does A3 posters yet is still quite compact. Thanks for the quick reply.

Chris Goulding Don't forget, with these compact A3 Brother machines, the A3 sheet must be fed into the back of the printer. I'm not sure if that will cause an issue with your shelf. We're currently using an A4 Brother DCP-J752DW in the office, which uses the same system, and that is running on refillable cartridges. They will hold about 70ml of ink each, so it's not too far off the capacity of the CISS (100ml).

To be honest, it's the best A3 size i've seen, if I need to shuffle the printer around slightly to do A3 posters I guess at the price and the compactness, it'll do the job...? I'll look at the cartridges too. Thanks for your help.
