Hey Rob, I don’t know if you’ll ever see this but due in large part to your CISSP mind map series, i have provisionally passed the CISSP exam today. I just want to give a huge thank you!

Hey Leonard, Rob here. Congratulations on passing the CISSP exam! Well done! And thanks for letting me know the MindMaps helped you in your achievement. Very rewarding to hear!

This is a MUST to use resource for anyone preparing for CISSP. The way Rob speaks was very clear and very easy to follow. I liked the Visuals and were truly helpful to create a map in mind for each topic. I used these maps after finishing the OSG and Destination CISSP Book. Though this is Free, they did not compromise on quality of content. I cleared my CISSP on May 2023. Thank you very much for making that happen.

Fantastic Explaination as always Rob :) One thing I noticed is at duration 20:46 seconds, the Spartan Scytale is a Transposition Cipher, but in your slide its mentioned as 'Substitution'

i got this question, what type of cipher is? Alan intercepts an encrypted message and wants to determine what type of algorithm was used to create the message. He first performs a frequency analysis and notes that the frequency of letters in the message closely matches the distribution of letters in the English language.

Thanks alot for the hard work done in creating ALL these videos. I've looked thru the CISSP notes from CYBRARY (Kelly Handerhan) - which has the following description on "Avalanche": Avalanche (chaining) -> when output from one function provides input to the next But I still prefer to stick to your explanations b/c I also see a similar explanation via "IT Dojo" on his CISSP Questions of the Day

Spartan Scytale is neither substitution nor transposition since it only takes subset of the alphabet from a long word. No replacement of characters. No re-ordering.

The formula used for finding the symmetrical keys w.r.to. number of users = N*(N-1)/2 This formula is not clear, anyone can please explain this?
@gabrielgarcia-xo5xy Жыл бұрын
N = The number of people in the question. How many symmetric keys do 3 people need? 3(3-1)/2 = 3.... 4 people 4(4-1)/2 = 6
