After watching 3 parts of Domain 6 mindmap videos, I am confused that if certain scanning tools are also in scoped for the cissp exam? (i.e. nmap/nessus) since I found some related questions in practice tests also some areas relating deeper knowledge on fuzz testing and the indication of certain ports available (i.e. tcp 1433 for MSSQL), whether are such knowledge in scoped in the current CISSP exam model? Or are they out-dated and out-scoped? Thank you!

The CISSP exam is entirely agnostic as to specific vendor tools. You will not get specific questions on Nessus for instance. You might get questions on industry standard network tools like ipconfig, ifconfig, dig, traceroute, ping & nbtstat - but just the absolute basics of what they are used for. Basic knowledge of fuzz testing should be fine, and it would be good to know extremely common ports (20, 21, 22 & 23)

Yes, very good point. There can be significant costs involved with logging in the cloud related to data transfer and storage costs!
