The last rays of an amber dawn, glints the forest paths
And flickers through the leaves
On the boughs weighed down with sorrows
Adorning like the saddest autumn scene
Where the willows dip their branches forlornly

The dying branches twisting claws against the moon
Will the ragged clouds start pouring down
Can the rain wash away the memories
Of the paths once walked in golden times of old
When the daybreak lit the canopies

Now a tombstone grey on a lost horizon
A doleful wind sweeps
A dank mist creeping
Do distant lights dance beyond the mire
