I flew an O-1 Bird Dog in Vietnam. His slip on final to a 3 point landing was beautiful. Brought back memories of my flying into short fields in combat. Army only taught 3 point landings. I never could do a wheel landing. His first stall entry into a spin had me feeling the memory experience in my body, as I had done that many times...some times out of actual tactical necessity to shed a lot of altitude...to get to treetop level, fast.
