The intercom/headsets will work. I was mainly pointing out the overhead speaker to show it's available in case of a "smoke in the cockpit" scenario. In such a scenario the pilots would be using their oxygen masks and need the overhead speaker to hear ATC.

EMER Brake PULL means: pull the handle as needed, but don't press the brake pedals - or the EMER nitrogen bottle will discharge into the brake system?

What you stated would be correct for all the other 500 series Citations, and is probably a good principle to follow in general, but in an Encore the brake pedals are basically rendered useless without normal DC power, so it shouldn't matter if you step on them or not while using the EMER bus with both generators offline. Nothing will happen.
