Apologies if this has already been asked (and answered), but when you was adding footpaths at 24:50, you was creating them over established buildings, which made them disappear. Does this not affect the amount of residents / companies, or any other metrics? I would've have thought deleting a building would mean the people disappear with it! Great video series, by the way. Really enjoying them. :)

when watching a tutorial one should never make negative comments towards the author but instead go make their own series. as an advanced player i often watch them to refresh myself and perhaps learn the basic mechanics from a new perspective. the biggest advantage playing with no mods is that u are one, playing for real and two, it is less taxing on your rig. i highly recommend any newbie to watch a series like this first before jumping into mods straight away.

Just got this game yesterday. This design has basically screwed my landfills. Garbage trucks will not deploy to pick up garbage and Im thinking the road layout has something to do with it. EDIT: Fixed the problem. It had to do with the one way streets. Somehow I set it up so that the trucks couldn't reach their destination. The solution was to upgrade to 2 way streets at specific points so the trucks could complete their routes. Thanks for the tutorials, btw. These are really helping me out a lot.

Thx, ImperialJedi, for this tutorial, one general question. I see you scrolling, panning and moving around real quick and smooth. Do you use the keyboard or are you using the mouse. I just purchsed this game and am a real beginner, I am a SimCity player and I miss the mouse control I had there in Cities: Skylines.
@ImperialJedi8 жыл бұрын
+wulp1191 I personally can't stand mouse scrolling in these types of games - usually ends up driving me crazy so I pretty much just use the keyboard for most movement. My roratating mostly comes from the mouse. Happy building!
@wulp11918 жыл бұрын
Do you use the middle mouse for rotation or did you change this? I hate using the middle mouse.
@wulp11918 жыл бұрын
And panning? Sorry to bother you but I just cannot seem to use the game as smoothly as you do, I am getting annoyed by it, takes away the joy of gaming and think about throwing the game out and return to Simcity, the controls in there are much and much better... however, seeing you use the camera, I understand that I am doing something wrong.
@wulp11918 жыл бұрын
I found a lot of people complaining about this, like:"The controls in this game are far too difficult for me to even play anymore. It's a beautiful game; I watched many videos of how other people design and build their cities. But to pan around the city using the keyboard is just far too annoying to bother even playing. I would recommend NOBODY purchase this game until camera panning is done with the mouse like ALL other city building games (A-train, CitiesXL, SimCity etc.). Why Cities:Skylines would go with this clunky, outdated mode of operation I have no idea. But I hate it enough to rate this game a big fat zero and will never give it a good recommendation. Let me know when they fix this! "If I knew the controls would suck like this, I don't think I would have bought the game. Bummer. What I also noticed that in your videos, the scrolling goes smooth, mine goes in steps, also annoying.Anyway, thanks for your tutorial but I think I will deinstall it and give the game away. Too bad, its such a beautiful game.
