I still find it strange how the street signs and lights collapse if you hit them but the car will just clip through other cars with no collision.

Great video. I'm actually using Cities Skylines 2 to recreate a similar scene, except being the psychopath that I am, I placed the nuclear plant beside the city centre 😅

What would happen next is evacuation of entite city. If you stayed within an 500 meters radius for longer than a hour, you would recive very dangerous dose of radiation. In few months, the now exposed core as I think they are would emit so much radiation to make the city that radioactive, that you could stay there for aroubd 30 minutes. Continuing in responds:
@mctottem46362 жыл бұрын
Something to contain the melted core would need to be constructed the way it would cover all the cores. If the cores would not be covered, it would spit out more and more radiation, that would be enough to make entire continent unsuitable for life.
@aalvarey Жыл бұрын
@@mctottem4636 Very much is true. A real life example would be Chernobyl. It would have spit out more and more radiation if the new confinement had not been built.

Do not talk about this if you don't know what your talking about: Radiation spreads differently: Radiation does not spread uniformly in a radius. It depends on factors such as wind direction, height of explosion, and type of radiation. A fixed radius of 500 meters for a lethal dose is not realistic without taking these variables into account. Moreover, radioactive particles can travel for miles depending on conditions. SECOND: Type of radiation and exposure: It is unclear what type of radiation is involved. There are different types of radiation (alpha, beta, gamma and neutron radiation), and each has a different degree of penetration and danger. Alpha radiation, for example, can already be blocked by clothing or the skin, but gamma radiation is much more penetrating and dangerous.
@nelis63654 ай бұрын
THIRD: Consequences of exposure: The statement that you would get a dangerous dose after only 30 minutes if you were to return after months is problematic. Radioactive materials have different half-lives. Some decay quickly and lose their radiation within days or weeks, while others (such as plutonium) can remain radioactive for thousands of years. After several months, radiation levels would not necessarily be as dangerous as immediately after the incident unless radioactive materials are constantly being released. FOURTH Evacuation of a city: A city would likely be evacuated immediately if there is a severe nuclear disaster or exposure to dangerous levels of radiation. Protective measures would be taken (such as iodine tablets for protection against radioactive iodine), and the duration of radiation exposure (even at 500 meters) could be dangerous for minutes rather than hours, depending on the intensity of the radiation source. And the LAST: Radiation doses: The hazardous dose depends on the intensity of the radiation and the type. A dangerous amount of radiation is usually expressed in sieverts (Sv). Exposure to about 1 Sv over a short period of time can cause radiation sickness, and exposure to 5 Sv is often fatal. This story seems to paint a simplified picture of a “hazardous dose” without considering the complexities of dosimetry (measuring radiation doses).

@@mctottem4636 In short, the scenario simplifies the complex physics of radiation, dispersion and exposure, and does not take into account various factors such as the type of radiation, the half-life of radioactive isotopes, and the measures that would be taken in the event of a nuclear incident.
