Flux you know I always support you! I dig the layout design of the city and it looks great! However, for the placement of the unique buildings I am not really sure. This is not the skyline I want to see. Mainly because the tall buildings are similar in terms of height and the way you place it is not making some rich layers, and too many pencil buildings. Maybe people like this but me only. You should also download more custom contents for fundamental assets not unique buildings. Although you are not doing a sci fi theme, you should bring some assets like yuttho does which actually makes his city look ideally realistic. But all in all, this is a start we have waited for a long long time, so this video makes me very happy. I am still following your twitch and KZbin as usual! Cheers!

+Sinwaz I agree, he's put them a bit too close together for my liking, I agree they should be spread out more. Most real cities are spreadout - businesses make skyscrapers as a status symbol, why would they jam it between another skyscraper that's just as large, it defeats the purpose because it doesn't stand out as much, it's not 'woah look at the google building!!', instead it's 'woah, look at all the tall buildings', which isn't really what companies want.

+Liam Sheppard Actually skyscrapers exist because of land value. The higher the land value is, the taller the buildings get. You want to squeeze the most amount of building in the smallest footprint. Look at the Googolplex or Apples complex, they are massive, but only 4 or 5 stories,

Hey Fluxtrance. I wish you would build a city without planning whole districts but just expanding your city gradually and then solve the problems as the arise. Right now you are building your city by planning near perfect districts that are likely not to have traffic problems. I think that the most fun part about cities skylines is to solve traffic issues as they arise, which they will when you expand your city gradually.

The problem with city planning is that you're building with what you already have established and in a budget. I kinda wanted a mode similar to the regular mode but starting with more money and many of the utilities already unlocked. Like start with 1 million so you could do some actual planning with freeways, roads, interchanges and city transit. If I can find a mod like that I will literally pay the maker $20

I'm so glad that you moved the skyline into the hub. I was thinking that was the natural spot for it but was a little surprised when you showed the task buildings out the back. that place seems like a perfect place for a high density residential area. I do think it's a bit of a shame that you used the focal island in the bay for utilities!

Smart planning. My city is at 150,000 and was not built to handle it. Small roads packed with traffic, no real way to install an underground system due to the river slopes. Working through it, but would have been nice to have planned it all out at first. Also, those buildings are so close together. Crazy looking.

You do a very nice job with your steams mate! However, I do have one suggestion for you; place your tallest skyscrapers abit further apart. The view is also a big factor when placing skyscrapers, so you don't want to have that blocked too much by some other huge building right next to it. Just my thoughts anyway. Keep doing a good job.

Yes the Bank of America building is in Downtown Dallas. The LED lighting on the building has been updated and it now can change colors for different events in Dallas along with the Omni Hotel and Reunion Tower which are also in Downtown Dallas. It looks really neat at night with all 3 light up!

Hey Fluxtrance the building you really liked and weren't sure what it was, is the "1000 de la Gauchetiere" and it's located in Montreal, Canada as the tallest skyscraper in the city. It was built by Lemay Associates in 1992. Cheers, keep up the nice videos.

The one building you didn't place down before, the "Messeturm" was the highest building in one of germany's biggest cities, Frankfurt, a really long time. Now another one is a little bit taller.

Hey, Flux! Can you share your tips on how to plan your city? Do you think about all the zoning ahead or do you leave it to a choice of fate? How do you decide on the shape of the city? And do you pay attention to map's natural resources when planning? I tried to plan everything at first. I actually made screenshots with all the layers and started to paint over some stuff in photoshop, but in the end my head exploded due to complexity Also, do you think it's reasonable to place schools right next to crowded (in near future) air polluting highways?
