"Profit doesn't mean anything" - then this theory should be told to SSNIT not to sell their hotels because it is same not making of profit reasons that they are selling these hotels

Please that should not be your problem cos companies who delay in filing their returns are charged a penalty.

You hosted Cheddar and asked him a barrage of useless questions but left Bryan to walk over you. Ask yourself how much is an acre of land in cantoments and compare it to the vast lands la Palm owns. He is not interested in the hotels but the prime land to convert them into condos. If he is good at managing hotels then the president should appoint him as manager of those hotels.

Biggest problem in Ghana is NPP and NDC. If there was tender and no one seemed interested but because the winner of the tender happened to be in NPP, NDC has a problem with it. So far no business justification has been made for NDC's objection. According to Ablakwa an ordinary Ghanaian buying the hotel is fine but not someone in the executive. Bryan began purchasing the hotel before he became a minister in 2023. A lot of properties of government was purchased by government officials in during the erstwhile PNDC divestiture time. Others were also sold to churches etc and there was no noise. If this sale makes business sense lets go for it and save the hotel. The politics about everything is too much.

The under bidding is the issue, why is snnit willing to sell to Rock city at such a discount? Something smells fishy? And they are running at loss based on preliminary data

Such an embarrassing interview. Umaru is clearly afraid to even pose critical questions to the minister. Examples of the top of my head: 1. If Okudzeto is lying, will they sue for defamation? 2. If this person at GRA doesn't exist, why can't you mention the name? 3. Since Rock City started operating 8 years ago, which years has it filed its tax returns? And did they make profits or losses? 4. Profit doesn't matter? Why should the state be comfortable selling it's shares in a profitable company to another company (whether or not that company is making profits)? He also failed to fact-check him on a number of simple facts, such as the profitability of big companies like Amazon. Amazon, for instance, has been posting % increments in profits year-on-year.

Ghana akrachifour. Hmmm. U people should be careful oooo. Yooo! Sometimes, I feel people and even some journalists approach such issues like these as though they were writing an exam. Let's get all facts on the table before we draw conclusions. It is not all the facts that may even appear in the public domain. There are institutions/boards who work on that. We can't run our country in the media.

Can the Hon. Cabinet minister clarify the following issues regarding his submission on the City FM platform? If the minister’s assertion, that Hon. Okudjeto lied about rock city tax filing, is factual, I would expect rock city to head to the courts to sue the Hon. Okudjeto for defamation! Is the minister the spokesperson for Rock city? I thought I heard him say he is not part of the day to day management of rock city or has he taken on the role of media relations? Additionally, if his assertion that rock city filing losses at GRA is not a big deal, why should the SSNIT hotels’ 60% shares be put for sales on the basis of non-profitability?
