There is no free parcel of land in Accra. The indiscipline is too much. People just put structures anywhere and I blame the Assembly’s for not doing their work. The influx of illiterate villagers into the city is another big factor. Most of them cannot read or write, and just wallowing in the quick mud of ignorance. This mentality of these villagers, that they are in Accra, so they can occupy anywhere, and when evicted, then Government should find a place for them must stop. You came from somewhere so go back to your village.
@Worldtraveler19842 жыл бұрын
You can’t blame just villagers. What about the shady land sellers who sell land knowing it’s government owned or using fraudulent documents. I live in America and if you even start to build a fence in your own yard with out going to the city and getting paperwork. It will be torn down within a week. It’s the actual government that has to become active, they have to start functioning like a real government and protect property, liberty 🗽 and rights. Ghana 🇬🇭 is on its way to become the beacon of west Africa but they have to clean house and get there citizens under control simple as that.

Where are the waterways? Waterways are Canals, storm drains, drainages, and culverts, they can be built to even divert natural water courses. Where are they? Politicians waste so much money on useless things like campaigns and rallies, inflates contract sums and steal the monies. Yet they punish the poor citizen for natural disasters, where have you built canals and you saw a container sitting on the canal? Eg. Who can site his house or shop on the Nima storm drains? Do your works well and stop scapegoating the hardworking youth. Bunch of buffoons, ostriches and cockroaches!

@@samuelowusu4755 in this case then the entire Accra is a waterway, because Accra has the lowest mean sea level in Gh. In the 1960s, Accra was flooding, where were the containers and buildings on "waterways". Check cantoments and even Labadi, how many times has these places flooded despite been very low lying? The drainage system there is quite good. American House doesn't flood but ogbojo floods, why? American House has quite good drainage systems. In civil engineering waterways are built.

See... The problem is from so many angles but my main issue is the buying and selling. No jobs apart from that. Shops and stores are so expensive to rent.. Now in order to solve the problem government must come up with policies that will enable the creation of inside jobs.. Buying and selling is outside and everyone want a space to set up shop.. If jobs that are indoors are created eg packing and packaging small scale factory work etc that will take a lot of people off the street.. Its sad to see people living cut short but it has to be done. The flooding is too much and this is one of the problems being tackled in the right direction....
