Last night it was the final. My kids and nieces were glued to the TV and invited me to join and watch . I opted to bow down to Allah and had specail prayers for Arshad Nadeem and Pakistan . We desperately needed a win ,because its been 40 years since Pak won a gold in Los Angeles Hockey.. I was only 14 at that time and woke whole night to watch that match . 40 years after , frankly i didn't have courage to watch live , so i bowed down in front of Allah , prayed exclusively 2 nawafils and prayed really really hard to Allah for Arshad success and then slept .. I woke up at around 4 am and with pounding heart grabbed mob phone to watch the news . Alhamdolillah i was so excited and started crying with tears rolling down my cheeks , when i watched the news of GOLD MEDAL 🥇 by Arshad Nadeem for Pakistan.

I heard about Neeraj in 2018 when probably in Stockhome, he threw around 86 meter and a sudden check to the Javelin record made me happy that 87+ throw is something which can bring medal and he just delivered the same in Tokyo where i was hoping atleast Bronze for him. Then looking into the Tokyo games a Pakistani athlete name Arshad was in 5th or 6th place with 84+m around. Now one got over 90+ and another is consistent with 89+. Seeing athletics over last two decades, i can say that their best is yet to come since both are 26 and 27 years old and athlete can have best time till 32 if keeping away themselves from injuries. Who knows that world record can be broken in coming 4 years. They are now the pioneers of Javelin throw in South Asia.
