I was at the bar and I knew I was getting drunk, and might lose a few memories, so I started taking notes, it seems, of key info I was getting in conversations with random bar guests. Some time later, I looked at my Evernote one day, I saw "check out Citizen Cope", and here we are. Someone had said "you'd like them", and they were right.

I remember listening to this for the first time back in 2006… Some hard times laid ahead… It was on repeat for multiple days for years. Citizen Cope kept me sane and kept me alive. I owe him and 2 other artists for the times they helped me keep it together. An amazing song and an amazing artist. Hope he’s chilling somewhere and happy.

I got engaged at the Bijou in Knoxville at his performance 5/3/23 I lost my wife on New Year's Eve 2019. Our son was about to turn 10. Our 20-year anniversary was 70 days away. I fell in love again july 4th, 2022. She was amazing, her son was within 4 months of my son's age. She left, but her son always had my back. He called me on Christmas morning that year when things were really ugly for him. I told him his mom would come back. We'd be a family. She came back for Easter of 2023. We got engaged. Went to concerts, out of town, family vacation... she got pregnant. Our son is due 2/12/24. She left. Gone for Halloween, her birthday, Thanksgiving, Christmas, & (my least favorite) New Year's Eve.
