Citizen Moon Watch! Tsuki-yomi A-T with red dial, super titanium: overview, checking power & signal

This is the beautiful red version of the Citizen Tsuki-yomi A-T watch with a reflective, wine-colored moon serving as the backdrop for a variety of cool features. This watch has super titanium, receives radio time signals from the atomic clock and of course uses eco-drive! Plus there's a moonphase window at the 6 o'clock position. A unique timepiece, to be sure.

Red Tsuki-yomi is definitely the most interesting! The blue and gray are just matte. Would be very cool if Citizen just keeps only the moonphase indicator and opens up the dial a bit more, perhaps on a smaller diameter, dressy watch.

Glad the video was helpful - were you trying to decide between the color variants for purchase? The red always intrigued me more - partially based on a couple videos I'd seen (plus I'm a photographer and have taken a few shots of "blood moon" lunar eclipses so the red moon is particularly cool to me). But it was hard to find for a brief period last year so I bought the gray as a second choice. It seemed like a number of watch enthusiasts preferred the gray, anyway. However, the day I received the gray version, the retailer broke the watch trying to simply size it for me (which shouldn't ever happen, but I assure you it's true). That prompted me to get a watch kit and now I can easily adjust/swap any band. Doesn't take much effort to learn it, so there's really no excuse whatsoever for anyone working at a jewelry store to struggle with it. A 30-minute class could cover all the variants and tools needed. After all that mess, I bought the red version and have enjoyed wearing it since. In the right (sun)light, it's pretty amazing to look at. Sorry for the excessive detail. Thanks for watching and have a good day!

One question, hopefully someone can help me here. I have the same watch and I don't know if my Eco Drives works properly. It's always switching between 2/4 full and 3/4. Even when I put the watch near our window to "charge" it, the issue remains. It is worth to mention, that the weather im Germany is currently very bad so there is almost no real sunlight during the day. Do you know if that is normal or should I send the watch in?

I recommend buying an LED charger. Not sure exactly what your purchasing options are in Germany but I got mine from Amazon for about 30 US dollars (the brand was "Coolfire" and it has worked reasonably well for me - I had a couple stubbornly low solar Casio models). During the wintertime it can be difficult to reach/maintain full charge unless you're always outside with the watch exposed. But a few hours on a charger like that should return it to full. If that still doesn't work, then I'd consider requesting service. Obviously it's less than ideal to need a charger for a solar watch but: - whatever, you have to keep it alive, right? - for a watch with a fancy dial like this, UV can fade the colors anyway so you don't really want to leave it in a window all the time (related note: never leave it on a car dash or exposed to direct summer sun where it might get hot) If you have any other questions, I'll do my best to help!
