Congratulations on the milestone! It is well deserved! These divers are criminally underated. I absolutely love them! I have a watch from Citizen and I have to agree. The leather strap is super stiff even after a year. I do think however it will last forever haha. I like how this looks like a special operation divers. The black dial with the green bezel looks pretty cool! As a lefty I also like the 4 o'clock crown which is also nicer on my hand.

I got myself a Citizen BN0158-18X a few months back at a ridiculously cheap price of £112.50. I certainly wouldn't pay £270 for the BN0155 having just purchased a Seiko Monster SRPD25K1 for £276, although I have to say that the Citizen Green does hit the spot. In fact the Citizen Green has proven so popular with my teenage son, I've got to hide my BN0158-18X from him or he will claim it for himself, so our favourite feature of the giveaway Citizen watch is the Green colour, and it would go to my son to add to his Casio DW290-1V I got him for Christmas.

Hya' Wes! Congrats on the milestone! As for the Citizen watch, I believe that the hidden spec is the gem for it: the movement. That's on the same level of workhorse that the Wostok Amphibia ones are, or the SII Nh3x. And the confort of a solar.... I've changed my beater watch to a solar Casio, now looking to fill the rest of the gaps: solar dress, solar Diver and solar Field. And as Citizen put their money long time ago on solar quartz , the hardest thing is to find each one and to get the "accountants" approval. Thanks for the review and the giveaway!

Congrats for the 5k subscriber milestone! For me, this black and green dial citizen promaster got 3 things I like. First thing is the black+ green dial combination, this is relatively rare on a dive watch and I think it looks gorgeous than green dial because double colour just like 2 layers, it is fantastic. Second is the black steel bezel, this will make the "tooth" of bezel have high contrast on the watch, and makes the watch overall looks smaller and balanced. Third is the solar power (citizen named as eco-drive) diver is pretty rare, this watch is an ultimate beater watch for daily use! by the way, this promaster strap is long because it is for professional divers to use, they have to wear it outside the diving suit. I believe this is also the reason why it feels "cheap" because they pursue that the strap need to be tough

my favourite of the promaster bn015x family is the military green one with the darker coating on the case. this one is pretty close to it, when i saw the thumbnail ithought it was that military one. these would make a great adventure/outdoorsy watch, solar and tough, no other complication is needed. congrats on the 5k subs and to many more!

Funny, I have the blue version, and it is one of my best watches and it is such a TOOL!! Yet when I wear it - I always think “isn’t it a bit small on me?” It’s my most legible watch, the lum is indeed crazy. It’s durable as a well built tank, and comfortable- I have a different original rubber band.. definitely one of my favorites!! My favorite thing about this one- the clarity 👌🏻

I have had the same watch for 2 years.. but in blue color and came with the original strap and a metal bracelet This watch was sold at the price of 180 euros and now the price has doubled.. but there must be more reasonable prices on other sales sites Very good watch ... keeps time well, is ISO certified and fantastic brightness

I’ve always had a soft spot for Citizen, although don’t currently own one. Love the colour combination on this one. I think the green bezel works really well with the black dial. Also love the broad hands and the bigger size of the case. With a 7 3/4 inch wrist I prefer a 40mm plus watch. Congratulations on the 5k Wes 🎉

Cool review Wes. I had to watch when I saw it was Promaster related. I have always had an NY0040 in my collection and believe it was always better than the SKX...having owned them both at the same time. Did you know that the original Promaster Ecodrive Dive Watch comes in Male and a female size. Wears pretty much like the 36mm Marathon :). Congrats on 5K subs...well deserved! Nice giveaway too!

hello wes... here are the things about that watch that i love so much like lume, solar, diver and thickness. i just wish the case size 40-37mm, day/date, solid links, solid end-links and milled clasp for the bracelet. it's ok if the crystal not sapphire. if chinese could do it, why not citizen at the said price. thank you for the video and the contest. have a great day sir.

Probably my favourite watch, even among more expensive automatics, will always have a place in my collection. 💪 But I have the black version, so I'd love to add other colourways to the mix. 😁 Also Wes, there is a 36mm version. That might be a bit too small, but you could try it (I personally don't mind these 44mm on my 6 and 1/4 inch wrist).
