One of the most comprehensive reviews of a watch I have ever seen. Thank you sir.

I love mine as a everyday beater. One should not over emphasize the 23mm lug-width. If I wear mine on a leather strap I use a 22mm Strap and the 1mm gap is not an issue, nor a sight-flaw. If I use a nato, you could easily use 24mm an press the fabric for 1mm. No issue, evenly. At this price tag both solutions should not be a great problem 😊

Good review except he got the wetsuit thing backwards. Wetsuits compress (not expand) underwater, so the waves in the strap are there to take up the slack underwater so the watch doesn’t become loose on the wrist. Tighten the strap to stretch out the waves at the surface, the waves then take up the slack underwater as the suit cuff compresses

Hello again. I Will just comment some constructive critisism, regarding the intro. It would be much better if you made the music lower (around the same volume as your voice). It starts out very loud compared to the videos. Don’t get me wrong. I love the videos and you are one of my favorite watch “KZbinrs”
@watchreviews4k4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching Armin. I appreciate your feedback. It may surprise you, but I have reduced the intro volume from 100% to 50% as I received similar feedback from other viewers. I have also reduced the intro length from 28 seconds to 10 seconds as the feedback was it was too long. I will explain why my voice is lower; the microphone I use is very sensitive. So sensitive it picks up the mains power sound of my camcorder which gives an annoying hiss to the recording. In order to reduce this I have to record on battery power, and also reduce the volume gain to the minimum. This gets rid of the hiss, but the negative is my voice level is lower than the intro level. I have now changed my microphone again to a better quality one; which makes my voice level closer to the intro level; but without any hiss. So hopefully in my next video you will hear an improvement in both the sound quality, and sound levels. In the future I would like to improve the sound quality further with this microphone: www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00YAZHRZM/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_1?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&psc=1 But as you can see they are £149. I spent £600 on my Sony 4K camcorder, and have also upgraded my studio lighting (due to more feedback from viewers). So further upgrades will have to wait until my channel receives more donations from my subscribers. You see if I spend £149 on a new microphone, that is £149 I could have put towards buying a watch for review. Therefore upgrades have to wait as I am currently focussing on creating more content, and that means buying more watches from my own funds. Please feel free to donate to my channel by Patreon or Paypal, if you would like to help with the cost of things like a £149 microphone. Wear your pieces in good health. Regards.

Great review, John, thanks for sharing. A credible diver for £150.... cool! I must say though, I’m not impressed with the 23mm strap. Regards

Thank you for watching Mario. Glad you enjoyed it. Agreed, the 23mm odd lug width is a negative. They should have just used 22mm which is a common strap size. Regards.

Are you sure the lug to lug measurement is 45mm? I thought it was closer to 49mm or something large.

Apologies for the error. The lug to lug measurement is 49mm. Regards, #WR4K

It is indeed 49mm. I just measured it. Which is very large for a watch this size. Still not out of proportion though.

I really like the tool look at this price, and the very practical features, but 49 mm lug-to-lug may be too large for my 6 ⅜" wrist.
@watchreviews4k11 ай бұрын
Yes, 48mm is ideal for a 6-7" wrist. Over 48mm fits a 7-8" wrist better. Regards, #WR4K

I have one of each. The Citizen has much better lume but the hands are a bit weird. The Casio has a nicer looking dial and hands, and is easier to read - but the lume dies fast.

I've had 2 of these and sold both. There's something about it that puts me off. Maybe the thin bezel which makes the dial look big. Or the the very flat hands and dull face. The date window is tiny. I got mine from Argos when they were on offer for £129.99 with metal bacelet. Great value but . . . Meh 😐
@watchreviews4k4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching Jonathan. The problem with the date window is caused by the extra thickness of the Eco-Drive solar dial. It needs to be thicker than a normal watch dial in order to house the solar photocells. This extra dial depth creates a shadow on the date wheel. Citizen should have made the date window larger to expose the date wheel more, therefore allowing more light in. Regards.
@jonathanlloyd23064 жыл бұрын
I think it would be better with no date at all 😐

Hardlex is not better than standard mineral. Tests have been done to prove that.
@watchreviews4k3 жыл бұрын
You are mistaken. Hardlex has added boron and proprietary heat treatment which makes it objectively harder than mineral glass. Regards, #WR4K
@RM-el3gw2 жыл бұрын
@@watchreviews4k lol sure. There's videos out there testing hardlex vs mineral and the difference is negligible, mostly marketing speak.
@PocketUau Жыл бұрын
@@RM-el3gw scratch resistance is not as important as impact resistance. Handled has been shown as more resilient than Sapphire and standard mineral glass under pressure.
