From years of High end drag bike builds - a mystery of shimmy death wobble was solved with a couple pounds more air pressure. Try that. As soft tires increase in speed, the carcass can change shape just enough to cause this. Trueness is another issue - Highly doubt fat tire mfg for E bikes are very critical on trueness/ runout. Make sure mold line on tire near the bead is equal spaced full circle,, and not tucked in causing tire to pucker in at that spot. Cheers

I had the same issue with the space available on the handlebars, I personally found it so much better after I cut my grip in half next to my half twist throttle, no longer had to move my hand for one, and freed up some space to say the least, the grips weren't super expensive either so I didn't mind doing it, they were rubber grip with outer lock on ring so it wasn't coming off even after cutting it in half to bring the half twist throttle in to place, not to mention looked better.

Dude I’m been waiting for this video I got so hyped watching it. I have a magic cycle bike with a 50t chain ring and a cruise at 27 the 28 all the time I’m jealous you got 10+ miles an hour on me! You’re kind of looking for trouble at that speed anyway people don’t realize a bicycle should be moving that fast they seem to always cut out in front of me so I ride in a 25 mph speed limit street so I just stay in traffic like a motorcycle it’s safer then riding up the shoulder it will cause an accident at that speed. Love the videos keep it up with your reviews and other crazy content!!

With road tires I bet 40 mph is in reach. But more impressive is the hill climb stats. 20mph up a steep incline is very impressive. I think most people who are into E-bikes buy them for the ease of hill climbing. That was the reason I made my build. Good Vid brother!

I got 250w hub on the front of my 700c wheel bike and 1000w hub on the rear. Got 2 independent batteries, , throttles, controllers etc 1 battery is 36v and the second rear one is a 48v battery, It sure hauls ass up hills!

Hi, I've got 1,400 kms on my dual 750 EMX and love it! To stop wasting power from front wheel spin, I set the power level in the display "P5" setting to 2 instead of 10. No more front wheel spin better acceleration!

Currently riding a stock Juiced RipCurrent S, and routinely hit 30mph on the flats in "Race" mode. And that's with an XL sized rider like me (6'6"/285lbs) sitting in the saddle. Of course a lot of that is because of the jumbo 52 tooth front chainring. I have a similar sized chainring on my road bike and (when I was fit) could get close to 30 just from pedalling. TBH, that was one of the reasons I decided to buy the RipCurrent S. Due to my size, I'm 100% certain I'm going to burn up the rear hub motor unless I do something to reduce the stress. Front hub motor? Hmmmmm......

Citizen Cycle: Time to climb some hills! AWD SuperRover: What hills? Excellent video. You have my RadMini beat in acceleration by 0.8 second, and I can beat a Grizzly, so I'm pretty sure the SuperRover owns the e-bike dragstrip for now 😊 Electric motor top speed is simply the motor reaching the natural RPM for that voltage, and more power does not change that. That top speed is fine and will outperform pretty much all commercial e-bikes, and Onyx's and Sur Ron's don't count because they are not e-bikes. However, if you do want to go faster, you will need to change to motors with a higher KV rating (RPM per volt), or use a controller with field weakening. Thanks again!

The very flat beam of your headlights is because they are foglights. The flat beams down low would let you see far off objects or animals standing on the road without lighting the fog all up. 1990's Lexus cars had these annoying yellow projector foglights. These are those with rings. Super cool bike you made. Cheers

It seems weird that Rad would use fog lights as their main headlight. I was assuming the flat being pattern was meant to keep from blinding oncoming pedestrians and bike traffic.

2.0 was the WOBBLER, then you almost got Forked up with the front end .As mentioned we got the Grizzly, been dealing with a damaged battery from shipping another story. Top speed is in the neighborhood , but I don't think the torque and quickness is comparable to 3.O. A.R. needs to see where the 1,000 Watt duals compare to the 750;s. Anyway you mentioned, it may be a challenge for the new and improved Mistress Princess. Congrats on the 20k plus subs. Yes if I was focused on gaining top speed I'd probably switch out the tires to the vee speedster tires. But at this time I'm happy with 37 mph and I like having some traction for off-road.

I always thought geared motors made more noise than direct drive motors, because of the gears. I also read that for durability direct drive are better than geared motors, because most geared motors are not steel gears, but plastic or a form of plastic or nylon for the gears. Wondered this as well - man those are noisy hub motors - so they must be gear type he used. Zero noise, hypoid smooth mesh probably won't happen, costly for one, but that's too much noise for me. That's the trouble with straight cut gears where only one tooth on each gear is fully engaged. Makes me want to look into larger motor with mid belt drive, and front wheel motor. Battery packs - I'd make custom one shot quick connects with inserted and custom enclosed cases fit on both sides below rear axle. Custom saddle bags above battery cases. Leaving large cargo racks front and rear open when needed. Cruiser style. Leaving main frame wide open, and very low center of gravity. Cheers

The torque is impressive but my full suspension rear dd hub motor will do 36 mph, and that's with a 48v battery, so top speed not to impressed but that's about as fast as I care to go on a bicycle anyway. Great video.

You probably can squeeze another mile out with some Vee Speedster tires. Additionally, Grin Technologies have various motor controllers now that are adaptable for various hub motors that use an L10 plug.

I just used one torque washer on each side. The order was one flat washer, then fork drop out, then torque washer, then axle nut. Same thing on both sides. I did not use any torque arms.

Excellent idea with the all-wheel-drive but those motors are pretty loud, and I wonder if there is a way to upgrade the Rad to do 50+mph and also have the ability to use one screen and to turn on the rear wheel or both wheels.

Now it’s time to change the rear freewheel to 11/28t. I did that on my himiway plus I changed my crank to the same 53t. I think you will benefit from the 11/28t freewheel. Should be easy to change.

Lots of ebike cheapo Chinese stuff doesn't work. It's only made to look like high end cycling equipment such as your headlights. Look into Cygolite or Nightrider brand cycle lights that actually work. Cool bike!

My stock 6+ gets killed by the sugar sand of the California desert, but with your setup would over power the ground traction as your asphalt spin outs show. Oh and not to mention the sand being kicked up onto the bike. Climbing the sidewall of a desert wash would be nice ( I tried that once and stalled, fell over and rolled BUT missed a cactus, my hat did not ).

Supposedly bafang is making a 1500w rear geared.. but I can't find the info again. I'm looking to upgrade my rover that has 9000+ miles on it. The odometer reads 8412 but GPS has me at 26mph... not 21 like the display says... anyway, thanks in advance. Seems like you've spent a ton of money and hours getting your rover the way you like it

I agree they don't look great as taillights, but if U put one on either side of the rack, they could be turn into signals as well brake lights because they are bigger to be seen just a thought What is the size of that front sprocket... does it help with ghosting when U pedal

Love the 3.0! Impressive. I think you have the original Rad brakes and I would highly encourage you to go hydraulic. Too much speed for manual brakes. Once last thing, the speed is limited by the motor/controller. Johny 5…Hilarious.

Checking items for build - This one is no longer available - Bafang 750w motor 135mm dropout (amazon) But just for the heck of it - look at image for this listing - it appears to show motor with mounting 9 for spd Cassette ? Was this choice of motor intended with that option? Somewhat confused as front motor. There are other sources in list of parts. - electro bike motors - strange web site address. KZbin rejected it. That's Awesome, now change out the rear hub with a 3000 watt motor and go 0 to 60 in no time :)! Seriously the 3000 watt motor with 72 Volt battery will get you to 60 MPH, just don't count on the brakes. I'm thinking of converting my sons motorcycle that hasn't worked since he bought it but with a 5000 watt 96 Volt system Also on the forks for the front hub, you should've added an anti torque system which is nothing more that a curved piece of steel which goes onto the wheel and then is mounted to the fram via a hose clamp. Looks cheap but then you are displacing the power from the drop in to the mass of the fork, even place one on each side if you don't want to spent the money on the modified forks.

I recall when you first posted the video about the front fork failure, you mentioned you would either fabricate better torque arms or find a solution. Unless I'm mistaken, it doesn't look like you have torque arms at all. I'm curious to know, are you really that confident in the new forks? Or what did you end up using? It's really hard to tell from the video.

I do not have any torque arms on this bike. Only using 2 torque washers. I have faith in these forks since they are the same forks used on other all-wheel drive e-bikes.

I've considered doing the same thing with my ebike. Its a rize blade from 2020. Aliexpress has a dual motor kit for 20in and 26in tires. They are both 1000w gear hub motors with one controller operating both motors and a throttle controlling both motors. Prices vary from supplier but the cheapest one I found was around $1,200. My concern is the durability since they are not name brand motors (jue shuai) and the longevity of a single controller doing all the work.

I have around 7k miles and added 2 52v batteries to it. Yeah I'm tempted to buy the dual hub motor from aliexpress. If I do I'll make a vid on it.

Hey i've got an update on my dual drive step through rover, still the same upgrades, just moved the battery from my rear panier to the front on the bottle screws and no matter what I do i can't get it to wobble like yours anymore, I also managed to hit 51km/h with that ebikeling kit and the stock battery

@@CitizenCycle925 gotcha... My wife and I are in the market for a couple ebikes. Just trying to pick a brand..seems the radrover 5 will fit our needs. Plus I could upgrade components on mine.....whats your thoughts on the newer version radrover6....seems to me the 5 would be best. With nothing integrated like battery and controller it would be the easiest to upgrade components..? Thoughts?. Thanks in advance. Great channel by the way
