For everyone complaining on how the other two girls don’t have as many solos, they do bass and beatboxing. What you should be complaining about is how they don’t get as much screen time, which is honestly pretty stupid how they don’t.

I mean she's not a bass bass as in she is obviously a woman obviously. But she's doing the bass part so she's the bass of the group. Bass (or alto, tenor, soprano) can refer to the part a certain person is playing in an arrangement. Obviously she doesn't have the resonance a true man bass would have but she can do the job with a microphone and just being able to hit those notes as a woman is already pretty impressive. They better take care of that girl, there's not many in the world that could do that.

They use an octave pedal for some of those bass notes! The vocals in this video are recorded on a sound board and put over the choreography. The low alto is definitely still a really talented singer and has a great range, but some of those low notes are accomplished with a bass pedal on her mic.

Ain’t gonna lie, what always amazes me about a cappella singing is that as hard as it already for one person is to sing anything at all with precise pitch and key, it’s got to be like 20X more difficult to do it with a group of other people and have the end result be perfectly in tune.

If only certain talents are focused on, it then (for me anyway) becomes a ‘who stands out the most/who’s the prettiest contest’, rather than the focussing on all talents- which isn’t it the point? I have become "obssessed" with your group. I watched (and listened) to Killing Me Softly, about a year and a half ago, here on YT. I was in awe of your harmonies on that cover. I can't even tell you what happened in the last couple of days that I have found myself becoming more and more of a fan of your music. Know this too, I am a 69 y/o woman who lives in a small town in N.C. My only musical background is that I sang in chorus all 4 years of high school. Sang solos in weddings during that time, solos and duets in church and for two winters, I sang at a resort on Saturday nights (up in the hills of the nearby Blue Ridge Mountains which you probably have never heard of before). I have always known what beautiful voices sound like and I do take pride in telling that fact. My vocals have long since changed (not for the better) and I rarely sing at all anymore (just in the car to oldies on the radio). I've been noticing with comments on this and other videos of yours that they are from 1 to 4 years ago, as are all of your videos that have now made me a "re-newed" fan. Why is this? Where have all of you been performing and will you replace the young lady who left your group? I hope, with all my heart, that CQ keeps going because you're phenomenal!! And even at 69 y/o, I love ALL of your perfomances. Just a reminder that your talent and incrediblly beautiful and unique voices draws all ages to your music!!! I do hope you read this, ladies, and the admiration and support of ALL of your fans will keep you going forward!!
