Thank you for the video. I am stuck on the physical presence calculator page.. I got 4 work permits (2016- 2021) but got the PR in 2020 Feb . I am not sure which WP details I have to feed in in the valid temporary status section. I was also aways for 7 months to india during my final WP and got the PR while I was in India . If I provide my last WP details which is valid until 2021 but my PR date is Feb 2021 and the away period (2019 july - 2020 feb ) is erroring out and clashing with the PR date. Any suggestions would be great as I am stuck.

Thank you, very useful information. Is obtaining a passport a separate process than citizenship?
@JadeCalver4 жыл бұрын
Yes, you must apply for a passport separately: bit.ly/2YJhaaY

I have to apply for citizenship for my kid who just landed in Canada under subsection 5(2) before he turns 18 years of age. However, among the example of list of 2 IDs required. One is foreign passport which is fine but the second ID i.e. health card, immunization record and school record is not possible to acquire in a limited time of one month due to its natural issuance time and delay due to COVID. Will IRCC accept any foreign govt issued ID or application submission receipt of Ontario Photo ID (as ID may take more than a month). Please advise.

For PR, would work experience in multiple NOC B type jobs totaling 1 year count towards PR? eg. an admin job for 6 months and then an accounting job for 6 months? (essentially both NOC B but different sectors)

Hello Ms Calver, I signed and mailed my Canadian citizenship application on December 13th, 2020. On December 16th 2020 I left Canada. CIC received my application on December 21, 2020. Will I have problems with my application because I left the country before they received the application? Thank you in advance.

Thank you Jade for the informative video, my husband is a PR resident who lived with me ( I am Canadian citizen ) for 2 years in UAE, can he include these two years that he lived it with me as time toward his citizenship application ?
@JadeCalver4 жыл бұрын
Hi Sanaa, to be eligible for citizenship, your husband must have lived in Canada (been physically present) for three of the last five years. You cannot count time lived in UAE as time lived in Canada if he was not physically here. You can read more here: bit.ly/37LpLhH

Hi Jade. How are you? I came here September,17,2016 as a refugee granted my refugee status and I’m permanent residency and i never left in Canada.When can I apply my citizenship please? Thank you for this video really appreciate,Stay safe thanks a lot.
@JadeCalver3 жыл бұрын
Hi there, you’ll need 1095 days of eligible days in order to apply. Your time before you became a permanent resident counts as a half day, you can count these half days up to one year towards the residency requirement for citizenship.

I don’t understand I came to Canada in April 2018 with PR status it’s been more than three years can I apply for citizenship? I was trying to apply for citizenship but It was asking me tax info from 2016 I don’t understand
@JadeCalver3 жыл бұрын
Hi there, yes you need 1095 days in Canada as a permanent resident in order to apply. You need to have filed taxes for the 3 years preceding the application, for your situation you would say not required to file for 2016.

During PR application, the police verification and certificate was submitted. Do we need to do that again during citizen ship application as well?
@JadeCalver3 жыл бұрын
It depends, if you’ve lived in a country for 6 months or more as a PR, then yes. If it was before you became a PR, you do not need PCCs. IRCC can request PCCs from you at anytime though.

Hi mam jade, hiw are you? Can i continue my application regarding woorking permit and LMIA?
@JadeCalver4 жыл бұрын
Hi Jerry. Currently, IRCC will continue to process applications that are in progress at its case processing centres in Canada and around the world. As such, you can continue with your application. However, it should be noted that processing times will likely be delayed. Best of luck!

A Canadian citizen arrived in the UK on 10th August 2020 on a Tourist Visa. Due to the Covid 19 pendamic, he couldn't leave the UK when his 6 months visa is going to finish ,so he wrote a letter to the Home Office. His tourist visa was then extended twice until the end of June 2021. The Home office then instructed him to leave the UK on 30th June. So he left the UK on 30th June to Tenerife, but returned on 4th July 2020. At Luton Airport Immigration asked him why 8 returned to the UK. He replied very innocently, to see my wife and apply my UK SpouseVisa. He's Canadian citizen, if he leave the UK and go to any other country for a couple days and return to the UK, it will start his Tourist Visa for 6 months again. The immigration officer replied 'no, it's not like that Sir '. When he heard that, he was shocked. He showed his correspondence letter with the Home Office. He's detained there for about 9 hours. Finally, they released him on immigration bail on the condition he have to apply for his UK Spouse Visa within 14 days, or leave the country. He applied on 19th July 2021 on the 10 year family route, arguing a human rights issue that he couldn't return to Canada, but today it was refused on the basis there is no good reason why he cannot return to Canada or even India. Now he has been granted immigration bail. He left Montreal,Canada June 2017,one it's already 5 years now. He didn't do any taxe return file for 5 years.He is ready to return to Canada, any kind of problem or penalty she have to face ??
