1:35 Visa convertible. We used to have one of these (B106 BGF) in the 80s and early 90s. Ours was silver too (they only came in silver and red, very rare in the UK, I believe only around 30 examples were imported.) Great fun - when it was going. It was the most unreliable car we ever owned. It would break choke cable, throttle cable and clutch cable in rotation for as long as we had it, together with gearbox and other problems. We once even got a cheery wave from an RAC van driver who clearly recognised us! Returning from a lovely camping holiday in Brittany, queuing for the ferry I said to my wife that the car had not let us down and had behaved faultlessly. 'Amazing.' I patted the bonnet affectionately and… the headlight fell out! Trouble was, every time we had it fixed we couldn't bear to part with it as it was a really nice car to drive and the convertible aspect was great - you could flip open the front portion for an instant sunroof too. However, it began to rust badly on the scuttle panel and front wings so we eventually traded it in for a Fiesta. The morning we were due to take the Visa into the garage to pick up the Fiesta the throttle cable snapped again. I bodged it with an electrical terminal block. We pulled into the garage and my wife said, 'Are you SURE they'll take this heap of crap in part-exchange for the Fiesta?' I spotted a sign in the garage forecourt window and said, 'They say they will.' The sign said VISA ACCEPTED HERE !

Thanks for the last two videos. I worked at Citroën and was amazed that they opened the test track at all. 15 years ago it was quite something to be admitted there even as an employee of the company. I have been there three or four times and you would receive very strict instructions as to where you were allowed to go and where you weren’t! It is by the way the place where the preseries pre-war 2CVs were hidden in an attic. La Ferté is the second largest private property in France that has no public road going across, the largest being the hunting grounds behind Chambord castle.
I'm very pleased you DID do another day at this fantastic show!

Fun Citroën story from Oslo. Was a book publisher who bought a CX Break as 2 seater van. Went fourteen days, then there was a fault in the hydraulic suspension. They had repaired the car on warranty and it went on for fourteen days. There they came back again. The same mistake, and the workshop began to wonder how it was possible. Turned out they loaded 4 tons of books, and the driver couldn't see that it was overloaded.

Hi Ian, Been away for some well earned Rand R, just got back and played catch up on you last 4,maybe 5 video's,which I thoroughly enjoyed, loved the mildly acidic comments on the approach road to the track,I was waiting for "Michelle from the resistance to say to you when you got the numbered cards...."I shall say ziss only once" Elle's Kingpings didn't like the Belgian Parve' much and I had my fingers xed that you had both front wheels still attached at the end. That was excellent! The only bit I thought unnecessary were some seemingly apologetic remarks on the part of the Author on how he perhaps should have withheld from making another video from the event or that it should be shorter -- I don't know: frankly, I couldn't well follow the line of reasoning there :D. Honestly, I could easily watch even a third and a fourth video exactly like that first one! So many beautiful cars! And I must say that it was only at watching this part that it struck me how bizarre it looked when basically all cars one saw working themselves through the narrow streets of the town were Citroens -- almost eerie :). Accumulated cars of just one brand look way more normal when they are stationary, just parked on display :D. As for the camera angle, I think both of them work, because both have their pros and cons. This one worked perfectly for a slow plod like that was, because the field of view is wider and you have more of a sensation of being a passenger in the car -- of being there. I also liked how you could turn it quickly and easily to show something from one of the side windows or to have us face you for a commentary. On the other hand, just for the travelling bits, I don't know if I wouldn't prefer the former setup, because the camera produced a much sharper image of what's seen up front of the windshield.

I think the one-dog-power car is a Type C from the 1920s. This version, with a dicky seat in the boot, was known as the 'cloverleaf' because of the seating pattern. The first examples of the Type C were only available in yellow, so it was popularly dubbed 'le citron pressé' ('lemonade car' - or, acknowledging the citron/ Citroën pun, 'Citroën in a hurry'). My dad learned to drive in one of them and, as the French driving test at that time required the candidate to know the main parts of a car, he knew his 'arbre à cames' and his 'embrayage' before his 'camshaft' and 'clutch'.

3:25: Exactly. That's why I have a scrapbook. I'd just cut out the front of the bag and turn it into a scrapbook page. Also for the AirFreshener once it's done freshening. 8:59: Is it optical illusion or is that thing understeered even at this speed? :D 12:50: Nice angle for this purpose and for showing the roads you're driving, a bit higher would be nicer with the wiper. But not ideal for you driving in 'vlog style' without showing something specific, because it's nice to see you 'work' the 2CV (but then I do like wide angle for the same reason, you don't :D). I do like how your can turn the camera 180 degrees though. That's useful. 16:10: What kind of road to a circuit is that, haha. If it makes it there, it can partake in a race?
