EXCELLENT. Best and very original idea for XM video. Regardless of what people write, the XM was and remains an extraordinary car. The one who did not own it personally will never break the 100-year-old dogma in his head that was served to him by the "standards" of the classic car industry.

7.2sec for the V6?! Was that a stock engine? Because the 'official' numbers say 8.4sec for the manual. Well, next time I find myself on a piece of clear road I'm going to time it myself as well. 😁

He stopped the timer at 100 km/h on the speedometer. Most cars (certainly of this age) dont do 100 real Km/h until 105-108 on the speedo, which takes quite a bit of extra time as well as perhaps another gearchange it looks like? Getting below the factory time with more than a tenth or two in a stock car on a normal road is all but impossible in every car I have heard of.

@@GoldenCroc The speedo on this vehicle is very precise. At 100km/h there is no difference between the V6 ES9J4 speedo and the gps.

@@pierresimenc2343 Sounds a bit hard to believe to be honest, there must be some tolerance for worn out or differing sizes of tires for example, one would think. Normally they take into account the 5% you can legally change rolling diameter of tire sizes... Perhaps the example you tested on just so happens to have a bit oversized tires?
