Had enough of bag heads rooting through my car in the nigh, so fixed the door lock.

Thanks for your video, I followed the same technique and successfully repaired the jammed lock on my daughter's C1.....I rolled the lock barrel on a bench grinder to smooth down the gates with the key in, reassembled and it works great saved ££££s on not taking it to a garage, cheers mate!

Thanks for giving us the confidence to do it ourselves! My 2006 CITROEN C1 RHYTHM slowly got worse until it finally refused to lock (driver's side) from the outside. Soon got fed up of leaning over from passenger side to push knob down and then lock that door. Chrome cap wouldn't budge so I just swapped the barrels; had to cut/saw slots in door hole a bit so that the barrel fitted ok. I luckily don't have window winders, which helped. With my model, front one of the three screws is longer than the other two (just in case that helps someone).

Removing the chrome cap is the hardest but tbh. Glad the video helped and you got it sorted

tip for taking the window winder off..... get a rag put it behind the arm side of the winder wiggle it back n forth while pulling it towards you so the rag goes behind the winder ..the rag will pull the clip off, worked every time on me ole metro.

The latch on the back of the lock goes the opposite way, but they may be able to be swapped over 🤔

Same thing for a 2007 Peugeot 107 electric windows? ( driver door lock was changed and I have to open the car through the passenger side all the time. I was thinking about swapping them. Think will work ?

For the clip on 8:00 you can see that there is a hole for screw. On the door there is a black cover when you remove it you can see that you can insert longer screw +10cm and remove the clip. After removing clip you should be able to remove lock cylinder without removing panel, atleast i did it like that on my 106, 206 and 306 😁

The manual door lock rod (that thing that can be used to manually lock the door from the inside) will no longer retract or protrude when using remote locking. It's stuck. Any ideas what needs to be done to fix the issue?

Does the central locking still work? Has it come disconnected from the mechanism?

@@StupidBlokeStupidVideos The central locking still works and the stalk can still be pulled and pushed in and out to lock manually. The stalk just won't move either up or down anymore when using remote locking.

Well here I am referring back to this video (first time was for entertainment purposes!). The door lock has been a bit bad for almost a year but after inserting the key if you pulled it as you turn it it worked. Sadly the car went for it's MOT (passed) but they have killed the lock once and for all. :( As I never use the passenger door can I just swap the locks across by just swapping the arms from the two locks?

@@StupidBlokeStupidVideos Well to update. I decided not to try moving the passenger side door lock across as I'd probably just end up with both busted locks. But I have bought a set of Citroen Berlingo locks (£10.89). I removed the C clip, hammered the arm flat, drilled a hole in the arm and fitted the plastic retaining clip to it. All works great now.

theres a tool for taking those door handles off , its a flat plate with a slot in it , and once you have done it once its really simple , if you google the tool you will soon make one .
