Well done Citroen for striving to do something different in a world full of the same old, same old. Vive la difference!

Love my diesel Cactus. Its not like all the other cars on the road, its unique, comfy, economical and fun to drive. And it's got popout windows and other stuff to make it 200kg lighter than the C4 so you get max mpg. And road tax exempt!

pop out windows are horrible. Majority of back seat passangers want an open window to look out, not a slight opening .

Last sentence is very true. I bought mine today and the design of this car is bold and pushing all boundaries. Citroen got this car very very right. Although newer versions of this car are mundane, would never buy them.

Just ordered a 67 plate, delivery November, you will be pleased to know Citroen listened and put in a 60/40 splitting rear seat as standard

Pop out window are great for driving around in our summer temps here in Scotland,saves burning fuel using the A/C,as they suck the hot cabin air out without the noise of wynd downs...looking at a 7yr old one in 2022

Drove a leased Tourist Transit Cactus 1.6 diesel with the robotised manual for 10,500 km in 7 weeks. 4.6 l/100 kms including mountain & towns thru Portugal, Spain, France, Ireland, UK, back to Paris in 2015. Rototised auto is okay if you vary your throttle and use the paddle shifters. This gearbox was not popular here. No longer available in either diesel or robotised gearbox. Yesterday June 2019 I took delivery of a Cactus 1.2 turbo Petrol 6 speed auto. One of the last of the run out model models with airbumps. In Australia we get 5 yrs warranty, 5 yrs roadside assist and a full size spare and split fold seats. Got mine with the sunroof and leather. I would have preferred wind down rear windows. Many aspects of the Cactus design are about weight saving. This includes the higher boot lip - needed for structural rigidity in a light weight car. Quite a different beast to my 2013 Skoda Yeti 2 litre TRD 4 x 4. Also an excellent fun vehicle with personality. Love the French way of doing it different with style and practicality. Viva la difference!

To be honest the car shape doesn't look weird at all. It's got the outline of a 2d drawing. All the angles are all matched up, it's not to tall. But It's just the added bumpers.

The newer version 2018 onwards don't offer the same great MPG as the 2015 models.

I would certainly buy one of these and it would have to be Emerald Green colour or some shade of Dark green

I am really considering updating by 9 year old C4 to this Cactus car. However i am not sure about this side panels and having heating system integrated into Touch screen was not necessarily and have seen couple reviews were people complain about it. Also only 3 frontal air vent and not 4 does worry me cause i live in cold climate.
@charliewiltermood28798 жыл бұрын
+survivoriceland i would not worry too much about the heating system as it really does grow on you and just like any car you will eventually get use to it, as for the air bumps at first i thought it looked a bit crazy but now i really do love them. Definitely get the leather as the cloth on citroen tends to be quite fragile and it also makes the cabin a lot nicer to be in.

Those arches on the top of the car, can you use that to pack things ontop of it, if ur going camping or maybe putting a paramotor machine on it for flights?
