Thanks for not being biased like a lot of the comments. I am an inner-city teenager, btw. I only see the countryside about once a year out of the school bus window on our annual picnic. I got so overexcited when I saw uninterrupted grassy meadows and trees for the first time when I was 12.

Sure, but who needs that when you work on wall street or insurance companies (as i do now at 22) as an actuary, stock broker, CEO, or CFO making decent money and have an apartment with a view of central park. I'd rather have knowledge in math and business than know how to bait a hook... And with money you can take trips to the country so it's advantageous. I live in NYC, and here, you have to be committed and dedicated to what you want to do to live a good life.

Am an inner-city teenager living in a capital city. I don't have an ancestral home town in the rural areas of the country to go to during the holidays like my friends. I get to see the countryside for about once a year out of the school bus window on our annual picnic. I still remember how overexcited I was when I saw an uninterrupted grassy meadow with green trees for the 1st time when I was 12. I was on an overnight journey to another district when I saw a very starry sky that is still as clear as glass in my mind. City life has its advantages but it must be nice to get to see the stars like that without light pollution, right? Also, a lot of folks don't have playgrounds to play outside in my city.

I'm from a blue collar city in Canada and was raise by a lumberjack/hunter of a father, as well as a grandfather who belonged to the same professions. I can walk to the local gun store in less than five minutes from my dad's house and need a truck for felling trees and carrying cords of wood to customers when helping my dad out. I grew up with a lot of Mennonites as a kid since it's my background, onn ekj kaun Plautdietch sproakje, auss dee Laundesfolkje (and I can speak their native dialect like a native). I'm a city boy raised in the country and I love both perspectives.

I'm fast, though, and can't stand slow walkers; but I do own a 12 gauge shotgun, even though I don't use it much for hunting moose and deer; some of my favourite meats that I grew up on as a kid. I love driving around in an ATV for a bush party with my trailer on the back instead of the truck, but that definitely works as well.

Yeah, I agree. I was trained by my Oppe, and when it comes to hunting, I spent a lot of my youth killing deer and moose. Deer is probably my favourite meat. We had Jamaican neighbours who used to jerk it and make spicy meals out of it which I especially enjoyed.

David you are a sweetheart! And you are right about city living. Not sure what city you are talking about, but the thing about "walking" and "meandering" is SO on point......one of my pet peeves is people who climb the stair out of the subway and then stop right in the middle of the sidewalk to get their bearings. That's when I need one of Jesse's rifles......

Lady Astor said back in the day...."if you're past the age of 30 and depend on public transportation, you're a failure in life." Of course, she was a gazillionaire.

Great video, I am a country boy, I live in northern michigan where hunting and fishing are a way of life, but at the price of gas my pickup is parked at this time so I drive my car, one problem with living in the country you have to drive at least 5 miles to get anywhere, but no neighbors so that is good

I was born in the city and lived in the city and a little bit of the country side. Honestly I love both and can't choose plus I love the beach so 😂 it's tough

Country life differ from country to country. I was small when I left Jamaica we didn't own a pickup truck but knew someone who did. I do love the country because you will find a way to entertain yourself and to city folk man you will not manage out in the wilderness. Trying to get back to my country roots. Jesse what are the gun laws in the part of Canada you reside, you have a Canadian accent I can hear it.
